You’ve got to hand it to Hyundai. Over the last ten years the Korean automaker has not only taken the world by storm, but they’re continuing to throw out the lightening. With quality and service marks comparable to the best in the business Hyundai is now seeking to up the ante on the Luxury front. Twenty years ago if you would have told someone that Hyundai would possibly become a major player in the luxury car market you would’ve gotten laughed out of the room. The automotive times however have changed and Hyundai is now getting ready to take on the best manufacturers from around the globe.
With the upcoming release of Hyundai’s new Equus luxury sedan the company is not trying to reinvent the wheel, but grease it up a little so that it runs smoother and gives the buyer a more pleasant experience. According to Left Lane News, a new program known as “Your Time, Your Place” will essentially remove the customer from all the hassle of going to dealerships by having a sales associate bring the new Equus luxury sedan directly to the consumer for a test drive. The service however does not stop there, oh no. To enhance the luxury buying experience even further all maintenance and service appointments will be booked by the owner through a new Apple iPad that Hyundai will include as part of the cars purchase. Once the appointment is booked Hyundai will then initiate its drop-off and pick-up service directly from the owners home or business.
The Equus is to be priced right around $60,000 which means that it’s going to offer the likes of the Lexus LS460 and Mercedes-Benz S550 some stiff competition from a pricing standpoint. Throw in the fact that Hyundai is now trying to set the new standard for customer service and experience and you’ve got an automaker that is going at the competition with both barrels loaded.
