For those of you who have never driven the Nissan GT-R, I can tell you from first hand experience that it’s simply epic. It comes with 530 hp and 448 lb-ft of torque out of the box, an advanced traction management system and enough get out of jail free cards to make even the least talented driver look like a rock star. The problem with all this technology is that it has a way of lulling its owners into a false sense of confidence, which is something that happened to this owner in the Netherlands. Judging from the 400-foot skid-marks, it seems that the driver came into this turn WAY too hot, overshot it, and in the process launched the poor GT-R into canal that bordered the roadway. Who knows, maybe the pilot was asleep at the wheel, or maybe they just got caught up in the heat of the moment. Whatever the case though, this is one Nissan GT-R that is now relegated to the salvage yard.
