When you start seeing incentives being offered on supercars you know that times are tough not only for the general public, but for the auto manufacturers as well. It was just a few years ago that we were reading everything we could get our hands on about Chevrolet’s new 635 hp Corvette ZR1. Orders were supposedly being placed with premiums being tacked onto original sticker prices. It now seems that times have changed has GM has now began offering incentives on their big-dog supercar.
With 2010 almost in the bag and about 500 2010 Corvette ZR1s still sitting on dealer lots, GM needs to make some money and move these cars. Therefore they are offering zero percent financing or $3,000 cash back on all leftover 2010 models. 2009 models get an even bigger boost by way of $5,000 off the initial sticker price. Just remember though that the 2009’s do not come with launch control. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again – for the money there is no better car out there than the Corvette ZR1. Hopefully now, with these incentives from GM perhaps a few more people may get to understand why that statement is so true.
