Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the sport of American Freestyle Canoeing, an aquatic spectacle that I couldn’t make up even if I wanted to. The basic idea behind this bizarre sport is simple, just paddle a canoe on flat water with perfect control of its movements. It’s about as exciting as napping and as exhilarating as watching cars rust. Combine that with the perfect melody of Chris de Burgh’s, “The Lady in Red’ and well, it’s a win, win for everyone.
