My 2007 Ford Focus has had a couple minor problems, but overall it's a very good car. However, there is still a perception among many people that Ford and other American cars are of lesser quality than their foreign counter parts. Not sure why that is, but Ford needs to educate the public on this issue if it truly wants to capitalize on its recent improvements.

Have a Ford 500 from 2005. Had a battery went dead, had it jumped by the Dealer's flat bed. Everything looked like we were going to be out in a short time. We found out that the TOP motor mount was disintergrating with cracks and pieces missing.
Otherwise we are very happy with the 500.

my ford F-150 is the best vehicle i have ever owned. it is near 200,000 miles now and going strong on light maintenance. don't take any government money. ford motor company can make it on it's own and say they are the only American car company that didn't have to put a hand out.
