However, there is still a perception among many people that Ford and other American cars are of lesser quality than their foreign counter parts. Not sure why that is, but Ford needs to educate the public on this issue if it truly wants to capitalize on its recent improvements. Had a battery went dead, had it jumped by the Dealer's flat bed. Everything looked like we were going to be out in a short time. We found out that the TOP motor mount was disintergrating with cracks and pieces missing. Otherwise we are very happy with the 500. Have a Ford 500 from 2005.
