Rail Jump

Ever drive too fast over a speed bump or a rail crossing and have your vehicle catch a little air? Well I have, and to be honest it scared the crap out of me. Let’s face it, there are road hazards everywhere that sometimes we simply can’t avoid regardless of how hard we try. Rail crossings are notorious for tossing unsuspecting drivers for a loop, especially if they’re a little to heavy on the go-pedal, which is exactly what happened in the video you are about to see. It seems as though the driver of this Ford Explorer simply wasn’t paying enough attention to the incline at this train crossing, and thus it sent them skyward at a pretty abrupt rate. They bounced not once, twice, but three times in what I can only surmise results in one very frightened driver and a whole bunch of front end damage.

ive actually done just that but at a speedbump with a Renault clio. i spent a little while being airborne and 3 hours checking the undercarrige and all of that since it was my mothers car but thankfully the only noticable thing was some scrapes under the front bumper. (the whole thing happened cuz i forgot a speedbump on a road i used to take and floored it and once i noticed the speedbump all i could think was that my dad always said that if you are about to hit a speedbump at to high speed dont brake over it infact you should give it a bit of gas otherwise the shocks and powertrain could get more dammage so i hit the speedbump doing over 120km/h (70mph) now this was the first week i had my license and i was a bit less inclined to keep speed limits ive seen the error of my way since then
