The Chrysler 300 is one of the greatest American cars currently made. It has icon and cult status simultaneously. The car is seen in more modern gangster and mobster films, hip hop videos (almost as much as the Crapillac Escalade), commercials and magazines. It exudes attitude. Ford and GM have copied the snub nose, chop top design extensively in their new line of mid sized cars- very obviously. I owned a Dodge Magnum (also based on the same platform) and that was one of my fave cars of all time. Even with the big V6 and AWD it beat older Mustangs and most Rice Burners off the line, with the A/C and stereo blasting! In 2006 driving my bone stock Magnum I got looks and comments every day. Old ladies, Hipsters, house wives all wanted one.
I also think the synergy between FIAT and Chrysler will be great. Unlike the strip and flip mentality of the Benz Boys, FIAT is in for the long haul and the companies compliment each others product line perfectly. I am excited!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the 300 use a lot of Mercedes based components? This could get awkward.

Shades of the Chrysler TC by Maserati.

I think they should call it the Maserati W210 by Chrysler. They can save even more money by copying the TC's old "trident inside the pentagon" logo.
