Oh what a joyous time the next three years will be in Maranello, Italy as Ferrari is expected to give birth to six brand new models before 2013. This is big news as Ferrari generally isn’t known for bringing new stock to market so quickly. They seemed to really have their eye on the ball and a pretty firm plan of action, so it’ll be exciting to see if they can really pull it off.
For the opener Ferrari is saying that there will be a new 458 Spyder which will come out in 2011, as well as a brand new version of the somewhat lack-luster 612 Scaglietti. Not sure if it will retain its current 12-cylinder mill, but if not, there are some rumors that it could be Ferrari’s first venture into hybrid territory.
2012 is slated to bring us a new version of the Enzo, Ferrari’s halo hyper-car. Not much is known about the new Enzo as of yet except that it is said to be powered by either a direct-injection twin-turbo V6 (say it isn’t so Ferrari) or a direct-injection twin-turbo V8. An all new version of the 599 GTB Fiorano is also due in 2012. 2013 will not only be the year for the California to get a face lift, but a possible “Scuderia” version of the 458 is also likely. Like I said, the next three years should be a joyous time in Maranello providing everyone at Ferrari doesn’t crack under the pressure.
