Chevy C10 vs Porsche vs Ferrari

It’s not often you hear of a Chevy pickup truck giving a Ferrari or Porsche a run for their money at the drag strip. There are those however who like to play the underdog card and because of this they’ll try to do more with less. The problem with this philosophy though is it generally doesn’t work. Automotive technology has grown by leaps and bounds since the 1960’s to the point where cubic inches are no longer the deciding factor when it comes to racing. Modern super cars today are wonders of technology which means that even if you’re old muscle car is making double the power of the new stuff, that’s simply no guarantee that the checkered flag will be yours.

  1. KC French says:

So True, because even though the truck has over 800 horses under (and over) the hood, it still has the aerodynamics of a brick, probably a turbo700 transmission, and no electronic assists to speak of. AND his reaction time is crap.

  2. Set says:

KC hit the nail on the head. Crap response times, crap aerodynamics, and a few other fun things missed means all the horsepower is just a waste.
