Sometimes being Italian has its privileges. First there’s the food, then there’s the wonderful culture and lastly, there is Ferrari. Back in the early 1960’s in Rome, organized crime was running rampant. However thanks to the efforts of Rome’s Mobile Squad they were able to get it under control. As a thank you, Giovanni Gronchi, Italy’s President at the time, decided to reward them by asking Enzo Ferrari for two Police cars. The first one was unfortunately destroyed in a fatal crash, however the second one was used by Police until 1968.
