When I was a kid we used to take model rocket engines and duct tape them to the tops of our Tonka Toys. We’d then connect the ole’ battery, hit the ignition switch and watch those suckers go screaming down our local streets at mach-5. Back then we’d blow up anything we could get our hands on and if the subject had wheels attached to it, all the better. Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars always came under fire by us. At a buck a piece they were viewed as expendable and thus we frequently sent them flying with the aforementioned rocket engines or a good M80 or two. For some reason watching them shatter into a million pieces was an absolute riot and something we couldn’t get enough of. The following video is proof positive that our childhood instincts were indeed correct and that blowing up small toys is, was and always will be awesome. Click through for the video.
