Epic Dodge Challenger Ad

Posted in Car Buying, Cool Stuff, Drifting, General, Videos by Kurt Ernst | May 27th, 2010 | 5 Responses |

There are car ad and then there are car ads. I’m immune to most, but this one makes me want to go to my Dodge dealer right the hell now and pony up the cash for a Challenger. In fact, I can feel the testosterone leaking out of my body because I don’t currently have a Challenger in my garage. Sure, I’d rather own a new Mustang GT, but Ford’s ads don’t come close to this one. It simply kicks ass, and it does it in under thirty seconds.

How can they get the ads for the Challenger and Charger (below) so right, but get the ads for the Grand Caravan so wrong? Their LSD and peyote fueled mini-movies for the Grand Caravan just leave me scratching my head. The Challenger / Charger ads leave me wanting one parked in my garage.

I would think that people who really really love cars and would be looking for a car in this “class”, would be looking past the Challenger to one of the other two cars that it can’t drive past, even in its SRT form, much less its R/T form, the Camaro or Mustang.

I hear you, Dave. I love the looks of the Challenger, but there’s no way I’d put up the cash for one over a Ford Mustang GT. It’s more money for a car that doesn’t work as well for track day duty.

Great tv ads – yes. But has anyone seen the new full page spread newspaper ad with George Washington & Co? That makes ME want to drive a Challenger.

What you all seem to forget when it comes to the price of the Challenger,Mustang, and Camaro in 5 years how is the re-sale value of the Camaro and Mustang gonna be? I will bet not so good especally since there are so many being built. Take a look now how much is GT Mustang going for? 16K 17K thats pretty crappy..The Camaro will be worse because it is not built very well, cheaply put together. So far the Challenger is holding up nicely. As far as speed the #`s are way off onliine I have a 2010 R/T no after market mods and getting 0-60 in 4,9 seconds and I have an automatic…..

correction when I was speaking of the price of a Mustang I was referring to a 2007 GT
