2012 Nissan Rogue SV FWD: RideLust Review
The Electric DeLorean is finally being sold on eBay. It has a pretty steep Buy It Now price of $100,000 dollars, which I don’t think anyone will go for, but you can always bid. It’s up to $15,600 now and the reserve hasn’t yet been met. Check out the auction
If you haven’t heard of the Electric DeLorean, it’s a 1981 DeLorean, DMC-12 that was converted to run on electric power by Dr. David Delman. It’s actually quicker than the stock DeLorean and is powered by thirteen 12 volt 100 amp-hour deep cycle Deka 9A31 Intimidator AGM batteries. Imagine the weight and efficiency savings if he could have got a bunch of lithium ion or lithium polymer batteries to power this thing. Still, with the regular 12 volt batteries, this car can travel up to 40 miles on a charge and it takes only 2 – 3 hours to recharge.
