Whatever happened to the days when skateboarding was just skateboarding? I mean sure, I’m all for the progression of a sport, but I think that slapping tank treads and a gas engine on board may be going a little too far. The DTV Shredder, while no doubt ridiculously cool, is what happens when a skateboard has a three-way with a mid-80′s Jet Ski and an M1 Abrams tank. Sure it’s intriguing but at the end of the day how much fun will it be after about 25 minutes of riding it. Top speed on the DTV Shredder is said to be around 30 mph which is just fast enough to ensure that you break at least one bone when hurling off the thing at speed.

The above pic shows the Shredder as a single soldier military mobility machine, but in all honesty I think the likely hood of this becoming a reality is slim to none. I have no doubt that our military guys would love these things, but I have a feeling that they may in fact cause more injuries to our fighting men and women than the enemy themselves.
