Drifting: JDM Allstars Wembley 2010 Film – 1080p from JDM Allstars on Vimeo.

The image quality that today’s cameras provide us is simply staggering. Shots that were seemingly impossible to get only 5 years ago are now being done on a daily basis. High speed shots, slow motion captures and digital video quality continue to get better and thus, bring the viewer an experience that is better than ever thought possible. Drifting is a sport that is based on a drivers ability to control an automobile through a forced powerslide. To the public the car looks to be out of control, but to the driver doing slides like this is just a walk in the park. Because the sport is so visual the cameras of today are able to bring us elements of the sport that the naked eye would simply miss. The above video, shot at 1080p illustrates exactly what I’m talking about.

Great video. I am not really a huge fan of drifting, but this was not bad at all.
