For those of you die-hard Dodge fans that have been lusting after the new 2011 Charger R/T or 392 Challenger, well, have I got some news for you! Starting tomorrow, November 15th, the boys from Dodge will be embarking on a month long journey around the country to showcase everything that is, the new Charger and Challenger. The purpose of this grass-roots tour is to bring these cars to the public by taking them to 25 Dodge dealers, performance shops and enthusiasts clubs. The true beauty of a tour like this is that it will give consumers a chance to get up close and personal with these two automotive icons long before they arrive on dealer lots.
The tour will cover around 8000 miles, beginning at the Walter P. Chrysler Museum in Auburn Hills, Michigan and finishing at SMS Supercars in Corona, California on Dec. 20th. For 2011 the Dodge Charger has been redesigned sporting all new sheet metal, while still retaining queues from the iconic Chargers of the late 1960’s. The 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 Inaugural Edition is running Dodge’s new 392 HEMI, a mill that pumps out a whopping 470 hp and 470 lb-ft. of torque.
