1.21 GIGAWATTS!! That’s what Doc Brown yelled to Marty McFly back in 1985 when “Back to the Future” was being shown in every theater in the United States. He was of course referring to the amount of electricity it was going to take to send his beloved DeLorean back to the future. When new, the DeLorean came stock with a paltry 130 hp which wasn’t enough to pull a weed out of the ground. Matt Farah recently drove an electric DeLorean that was faster, quieter and more economical than the original, and one that, in the end, would have made Doc Brown proud.
