DiRT 3

Just recently I posted a tribute video to the insane Group-B Rally cars that ran from 1982-1986. These cars were unbridled monsters of engineering with the sole purpose of being the biggest and baddest machines ever to have competed in the sport. Now it seems that the video game world has taken notice and is now paying homage to these warriors of the woods by including them in their newest releases. Codemasters is seeking to recreate some of that good old Group-B insanity right in our homes with the release of DiRT 3. Cars from Audi, Lancia, Ford, Renault and others have all been duplicated in amazing detail in the hopes of replicating an authentic look and feel. DiRT 3 is scheduled for release on May 24th for the XBOX 360, PS3 and PC Games For Windows LIVE.

We had a ton of fun drunken racing Dirt2. We will continue the tradition with this one.

haha. I’m sure the guys on Dirt3 were planning this before Ridelust’s video was posted, but Ridelust’s definitely got me pumped for Group B regardless.

Dirt2 is awesome. Dirt3, snow effects and all that… and even more rally-based gameplay.. **drools**

Unless they get rid of some of the arcade feel the put in Dirt 2 and bring back the sim feel of Dirt 1, I’m going to reinstall Dirt 1 and wait for the official WRC game. Dirt 2 was garbage compared to Dirt 1.

I’m glad they’re re-introducing Group-B cars, though. Maybe that’s a sign that it really will be a squeal to the original Dirt. I’d hate to see McRae’s game decline any more after his death.

I’ve heard people say Dirt2 was unrealistic as well. What makes it unrealistic compared to Dirt1? I mean in terms of handling, what specifically makes you think “this game sucks, its unrealistic”?

      Just curious
