About The 1966 Corvette
The 1966 Corvette was the first Corvette to sport block engines with the option of either having 390 hp or 425 hp. The 425 hp engine was reportedly even more powerful that Chevrolet disclosed. The specifications were downgraded to avoid stirring up concerns over the car’s safety.
