I’m about 90% sure this video was filmed at Bear Mountain State Park in New York, since those roads look awfully familiar (Orange County 106, perhaps). No shoulders, narrow lanes, trees or boulders just off the road and pavement filled with patches and tar snakes. Sure, these roads are wildly entertaining, but driving or riding them leaves you with zero margin for error. Make a mistake, like the driver in the Corvette, and a bad crash is the best you can hope for. On a bike, a non-fatal crash is about the best you can hope for.
The good news is that the tool in the Corvette hit a tree and not an oncoming car or motorcycle. If he didn’t learn his lesson from this particular crash, and keeps crossing the center line on blind corners, it’s just a matter of time before he kills someone on a bike or in an oncoming car. There’s a time and a place to turn up the wick, and a road like this isn’t it unless you can keep the car in your lane.
