Completely Fou Citroën Survolt on the Track

Posted in Concept Cars, Electric Cars, Fast Cars by Dustin Driver | September 23rd, 2010 | 1 Response |

My favorite French motorcar company, Citroën, tossed its crazy-awesome Survolt concept car on the track with an electric racing bike and filmed the whole thing. It’s not much of a show, considering both vehicles are eerily silent. But you do get to see the fabulously batshit Survolt wail its way over the blacktop at triple-digit speeds. The electric publicity machine is driven by two electric motors with a combined output of about 300 horsepower. The car weighs a scant 2,500 pounds—positively anorexic by electric car standards—and can hit 60 in less than five seconds. So who wins the race? I donno. And I don’t really care. I just think the Survolt looks wicked.

I think this Citroen and the BMW EfficientDynamics are my favorite concept cars of all time.
