If you drive a 2010 or 2011 Chrysler or Dodge, here’s a heads up: the manufacturer is initiating a voluntary safety recall on nearly 26,400 vehicles, to replace a potentially faulty high pressure power steering hose. The hose in question may separate and spray power steering fluid on hot engine components, possible resulting in an under-hood fire. You’ll find a complete list of affected vehicles after the jump.

Vehicles being recalled are as follows:

• 2010 Chrysler 300

• 2010 Chrysler Sebring

• 2010 Dodge Charger

• 2010 Dodge Challenger

• 2010 Dodge Avenger

• 2010 Dodge Journey

• 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup

The recall is expected to begin within the next few weeks, and dealers will inspect and replace the power steering hose as required. Chrysler points out that they are initiating the recall voluntarily, and that they’re not aware of any accidents or injuries as a result of power steering hose failure. Owners with questions or concerns can reach Chrysler’s customer service hotline at (800) 853-1403.
