Chevy vs. Chevrolet: GM Explains.

Posted in Chevrolet, GM, Newsworthy by MrAngry | June 13th, 2010 | 1 Response |

A few days ago I posted a story about a memo that was sent through GM headquarters that asked employees to stop referring to Chevrolet as “Chevy” and go back to using Chevrolet only when they were referring to the brand. This was apparently met with some resistance by every single person who got the memo as well as every red blooded American. Due to this fact Sales VP Alan Batey and GM’s social marketing man Joe LaMuraglia decided to make a video explaining why the memo was passed around. So without further adieu I present GM’s reasoning as to why employee’s of General Motors are no longer allowed to use “Chevy” as the nickname for Chevrolet.
