2012 Chevrolet Sonic LTZ: RideLust Review
On Thursday, Chevy officially ticked off its first century, and in celebration the automaker wants you to know all about its racing heritage. If there’s a racing series involving automobiles in the U.S., Chevy’s probably been there and racked up a few trophies. In fact, the founder of Chevrolet, Louis Chevrolet, was an aspiring racer who drove in early Indy 500s.
Its fitting, then, that Chevy returns to Indy Car racing in 2012 with an all-new, twin-turbo, 2.4-liter V-6. In the mean time, the video below is a good reminder of what Chevy has accomplished on dragstrips, oval tracks and road courses over the past 100 years.
