If you’re an American male and you’ve never owned a Ford Mustang then you’re missing out on one of the great joys of motoring. This is a hooligan car plain and simple. With a big honkin’ V8 up front and solid live axle out back, the Mustang is one of those cars that can make any driver feel like a superhero. That is of course, until you crash it, which unfortunately is something that happens quite often.

These two old sleds are different though, ’cause well, they belong to me (your host) and they’re the reason that BIG MUSCLE exists today. These are not show ponies, cruisers or weekend projects, but two warhorses that have been run in some of the toughest long distance and performance events in the United States. Built for reliability, power and performance, they are not technological marvels, but old school resto-mods that have been updated for one reason and one reason only – to put smiles on the faces of all those who see them.

This is the new 2014 Jaguar XFR-S and aside from looking like a car that was built down under, it strikes us as one hell of an automobile. I recently saw this new cat at the L.A. Auto Show and in person it’s actually quite a looker. This new Jag appeals to those owners who want a bit of extra grunt over the that of the XFR (510 hp). The XFR-S boasts an 8-speed automatic transmission, performance exhaust, unique 20-inch wheels and of course that 550 hp supercharged V8. Prices start at $99,000 which is a pretty big nut. However if you’re fan of these big cats then the Jaguar XFR-S may be exactly what you’re looking for.

Admit it, you can’t get enough of The Fast and the Furious movies. Sure they’re filled with loads of vehicular nonsense, but quite honestly, who cares. The cars are awesome, the chicks are hot and the action is nonstop from start to finish. In the upcoming Fast & Furious 6, Toretto and crew are headed over seas for some more smash and grabs. This time however Vin Diesel is piloting an odd looking version of a 1969 Dodge Daytona as opposed to his beloved 1970 Charger. Will it be good – who knows?
