Street Trials…Vintage Style

Vintage Trials Bike

It’s one thing to take a modern day mountain bike and go off bouncing through your neighborhood, but a 1970′s vintage bike? Well, that’s another story entirely. For one thing modern bicycles are constructed to handle the extreme punishment that today’s hardcore riders can dish out. They’re built from materials such as aluminum and carbon fiber and have been strength tested. The bicycles from the 1970′s though, not so much. However, in this day and age we must all use what we have at our disposal, which is one of the reasons the following video is so great. All the bike needs on it though is a little basket, a bell and some handlebar whiskers to make it perfect. Click through for the video and enjoy.

Ferrari Camera Car

Filming high speed car chases, races and stunt sequences is not the easiest thing in the world to do. I mean sure, it’s one thing to go slap a GoPro on your front bumper, but to really get those high speed performance shots you may want to take a note from the guys over at Damon Productions. You see these guys know how to do it right as they are, without a doubt, one of the leaders in the industry. Recently they’ve added a new member to their camera team in the way of a Ferrari 360 that’s outfitted with the latest and greatest in camera gear and quite honestly, it’s one of the coolest things we’ve ever seen.

Group B Insanity: Audi Sport Quattro Porn

Group B Rally

Buck-ass crazy… that’s the only way I would categorize any driver who ran a car in the Group B rally class in WRC from 1984 to 1986. They ran upwards of 700 hp, had little to no traction management systems and even though they were fully-caged cars, they were a far cry from having the safety systems that today’s rally cars utilize. Perhaps the most famous and recognizable of the Group B beasties was Audi’s Sport Quattro. Back then it was a hotbed of technology and also changed the way people looked upon the sport. Don’t believe me? Click through for the video and prepare to get motor-wood.

Cadillac ATS Tackles the “Green Hell”

2013 Cadillac ATS

It’s no secret that Cadillac has a lot riding on their new ATS sports sedan. I mean let’s face it, if you come out saying your going to best the BMW 3-series well then, you’ve really got your work cut out for you. Set to air on Super Bowl Sunday Cadillac is touting the fact that the ATS was developed at the Nürburgring, that wonderful track in Germany that’s in the wet dreams of every automotive enthusiast. We know that the ATS will have a variety of engines ranging from a 2.0L turbo-four, to a 3.6L V6, to a (we hope) 470 hp V8, but will these power plants be enough to topple one of the greatest small sedans ever? We’ll soon find out I suppose, we’ll soon find out…

Eastern European Thrill Ride

I’ve always wondered about people who are selective with their safety gear. For instance, I’ve seen countless motorcyclists riding in full leathers, but they forgo wearing a helmet. By the same token, I’ve seen guys riding with shorts and a t-shirt while their helmet costs more than their bike. Seriously what’s the logic here? Regardless, I began to wonder about this as I watch this guy slide around in an open parking lot in what looks to be one of the coolest go-karts I’ve ever seen. It’s got a fully build chassis, gigantic rear wheels and a big ole’ straight-six engine up front. There’s no question that this thing is bitchin’, however the safety gear thing still confuses me. Now skip to the 1:20 mart and tell me this doesn’t look like a shitload of fun!

Do All Corvette’s Crash Eventually?

Wrecked Corvette

There is no question that for the money the Chevrolet Corvette is the best bang for the buck when it comes to sports cars. It’s comfortable, fast, handles great and at days end is one of the few real sports cars you can drive on a daily basis. However there are some stigmas associated with Chevy’s bow tie bad boy. First off the Corvette has always been known as somewhat of a mid-life crises car that’s purchased by overweight balding guys who are trying to relive their youth. However this one I think is finally starting to wear off. Then there’s the idea that all Corvette owners are jackwagons when it comes to driving. Installing every bolt-on they can find at their car, many owners over power their rides and inevitably end up wrecking. This is a stigma I fear is not going away anytime soon. The following video illustrates what I’m talking about perfectly.

Why are flames so exciting?

Posted in Best of, European Rides, Ferrari, General, Hoonage, Rides, Videos by MrAngry | January 23rd, 2012 | 1 Response |

Ferrari F40 Exhaust Flames

Whether it be a Fiat or a Ferrari, there is just something sinister about a car that shoots flames out of its exhaust. It denotes a feeling a power and speed and gives all those around it the sensation that there is something very serious going on underneath that hood. For the most part those flames are the simple result of unburnt fuel being ignited inside the exhaust pipes and then getting blown out the back, but there are those who use the old spark plug trick to accomplish the same result. This Ferrari F40 you are about to see though is not one of those cars and accomplishes this light show all on its own. I swear it’s like watching a big red fiery porno blow past you…

Motorcycle vs. Car Drift Battle 2

Drift Battle

Take two long swing-arm sport bikes, add a couple of really good riders and a Ford Mustang drift car painted up in Police livery and you’ve just developed the recipe for one helluva short moto-movie. The following film was produced by Icon Motorsports and features riders Nick Brocha and Ernie Vigil on a wicked pair of Triumph Speed Triples. Modified to roll sideways at full tilt, these two bikes are sure to be the catalyst as the sport of drifting heads from 4-wheels to two. That is of course unless they get caught by officer Dan Brockett in his 550 horsepower Ford Mustang Cobra. Click through for the video and enjoy.

Harley-Davidson’s are definitely good at one thing…

Harley-Davidson Burnout

It’s not often that you see a big Harley-Davidson doing anything other than cruising along your local highway at 65 mph. I mean let’s face it, that’s what they’re meant to do and they’re damn good at it. That’s why I felt it so important to post up what is perhaps the raunchiest video of a Harley doing a burnout that I’ve ever seen. The process was simple – chock the front wheel, get that big back tire spinning and then run through all five gears until you hear something go “POP”!

Ladies and gentlemen, this is nothing more then pure, unadulterated awesomeness and we love every minute of it.
