Fast, fun and all-wheel drive. Those were the parameters that Chris Harris set forth when he put together this comparison test between the R8 V10 Plus, Porsche 911 Turbo S and a Litchfield GT-R. All are stock except for the GT-R which has been tuned to the likes of 750 hp. However, does all that extra power necessarily make it better than its German rivals? Harris recently put this trio through a gaggle of tests to find out exactly that!

Matt Farah and the guys from TUNED are back for another season of wild rides on Youtube’s DRIVE Network. For the season opener Matt ventures down to BBi Autosport to grab owner Joey Seely’s naturally aspirated 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera. With the lightest rotating assembly around, a wet-weight of just 2,100 lbs and 276 hp, this car promises to be one of the nastiest Porsche 911′s you’re ever likely to see.

Over the last three months the guys over at Youtube’s stellar DRIVE Network have been busy. You see they’ve been creating new (and free) content for all of us motor-heads. The Season Six schedule will include shows like TUNED, DRIVEN, CHRIS HARRIS on Cars, After/DRIVE, SHAKEDOWN and DRIVE Central, while Season 7 (premiering mid-summer) will bring back such favorites as BIG MUSCLE and DRIVE CLEAN. As a car enthusiast it’s hard when I see cars that are weighed down by technology. From in-dash navigation units and parking assist, to adaptive cruise control and pedestrian warnings, I worry that this tech takes away from the driving experience. Case in point – the Renault Clio RRS 200 that’s feature on this weeks Chris Harris on Cars. It’s a great little car no doubt, but Renault has unfortunately done away with the manual transmission in favor of one that utilizes flappy-paddles. It’s not terrible mind you, just different. As a fan of standard transmissions, I’m just finding it hard to get into this when so much of driving a car is the connection you feel with it. Who knows… Maybe I’m just old and jaded, but as long as they’re available, a manual will always live in my garage.

Making more engine power used to mean that you’d be changing everything from the camshaft and carburetor, to the intake and heads. It was an arduous process that was time consuming and at days end, cost major money. In today’s world though, increasing horsepower can be as simple as plugging in a laptop computer and hitting a few buttons. Chris Harris recently found this out when a little bump in software gave his lightly battered Audi S4 wagon a big boost in performance. Check it out after the jump.

When most people think of Mercedes-Benz they think of high-end luxury and performance. They think of cars that are better suited to the autobahn rather than the racetrack. Yet that hasn’t stopped them from trying to produce cars that can take on the likes of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and Ferrari 458. The new Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series is such a car, and according to DRIVE’s resident hoon Chris Harris, it may just have a shot at going for the title.

The Bentley Continental GT Speed and Audi S4, two siblings separated at birth and both from the same mother (Volkswagen). One went to the best schools, ate the best food and had the hottest girlfriends. The other, although still successful, had to work a little bit harder for it. From a price perspective you’d think the Bentley Continental GT was 10 times the car the Audi S4 is, but after enjoying a stint in both vehicles, Chris Harris seems to think differently.
