The Firebird, like its mythical namesake, simply refuses to die. Here’s another rising from the ashes (although they’re not Pontiac’s ashes, which have long since grown cold). This Trans Am prototype, in festive Mardi Gras themed camouflage, was snapped in suburban Detroit, leading to speculation that it’s ASC’s entry into the pseudo -Pontiac Firebird TransAm market.

Eventually, even your most diehard SoCal bro grows up and starts a family, or at least knocks a couple broads up, and suddenly he finds himself needing two extra doors on his desert hauler. Enter: the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Supercrew.
Introduced to an awestruck audience (which included us) last year, the Ford Raptor turned the world of 4×4’s on its ear when it hit the scene as the first baja-ready production pickup truck in history. Shortly thereafter, pleas came pouring in from fanboys for a 4-door version. “We’ve had requests for a crew cab,” acknowledged Ford marketing manager Mark Grueber, “We haven’t made any decisions but there’s some demand for it. Not everyone is going to use [the Raptor] for aggressive off-roading. It could be something similar to the four-door Wrangler.” With these new spy shots, however, it seems they’ve advanced considerably beyond merely toying with the idea.

Fresh on the heels of a new batch of heavily camouflaged appearances, the new Lexus LF-A Supercar has been spotted once again – this time in the buff. Spied by the alert gents at Autocar, the Lexus LF-A Supercar was caught lapping the Nürburgring this morning completely undisguised, giving up the goods a full month before its scheduled unveiling at the Tokyo Motor Show.

Sorry, Infiniti. I know you were trying to be nice and give a few dealers/executives a peek at your new QX, but some asshat in attendance had to go all MI6 on you. So here we have the 2011 QXsomethingorother. Looking like a Range Rover cross-bred with a Land Cruiser, it’s sporting some huge rims, smooth bodywork and fender vents (are we done with these yet?). Even the blackened pillars come straight from the Land Rover LRX concept. Hit the jump for the booty shot.

Months after GM confirmed the production of the 2011 (ish) Chevy Camaro convertible, a herd of the production-ready ponies have been spotted outside the GM factory in Melbourne, Australia. Snapped by an enterprising Camaro5 forum member, the relatively high-quality spy shots are the first signs of life we’ve seen since GM rescued the Camaro drop-top from the scrap heap.

Mercedes Benz SLS AMG
Even though the Mercedes SLS has only unofficially been sighted in various places Sasquatch-style, it is not surprising that the German automaker is also planning an all-electric version of the upcoming supercar. Not surprising because it has been a mere two months since Mercedes plucked up a 10 percent stake in American electric car manufacturer Tesla Motors.

A few days ago, Nathan showed you the latest interior spy shots of Merc’s throwback supercar. And then yesterday, an unnamed informer emailed 4wheelsnews this unofficial photo from an as of yet unknown German magazine. It’s all very smoke and mirrors to be sure.
More details after the jump.

Looking somewhat like a goiter on the neck of a a warthog, we bring you the Accord Crosstour. Actually, it looks more like Honda decided to combine all the amazing character traits of an Infiniti EX35, a VW Passat CC, and a BMW X6 into one completely lustless package. So lustless, it leaves us limp and lethargic. Forgive our lack of excitement as yet another crossover trundles into in these M. Balisky spy shots as unabashedly as a grown man wearing overalls … with nothing underneath. Alright, funny derogatory comments aside, the Crosstour is confirmed, so it will soon festoon your local outlet mall parking lots. So what the hell is it, anyhow?

Boy I hope this is a fake or a screw up or a bad trip. Some sly cat in Crewe managed to sneak some photos of the upcoming Grand Bentley over to CAR Magazine, and it looks kind of…odd. I tend to believe it since the fenders bare a strong resemblance to the original teaser image, and especially with three different colored cars all captured on camera. The headlamps are huge with LEDs on the perimeter. The upper grille says “I’m hiding a massive 6.75-litre V8″, but the lower grillework looks like an overdone Strut package. Click over for a peek at the rear and interior.

If I were a BMW driver I would be pretty pissed by now. A preponderance of quirky crossovers is slowly diluting the brand which once stood for the “Ultimate Driving Machine”. The X3 is entirely too small and only for those that can’t swing an X5. There, I said it. Why in the hell make one even smaller then? With little to no real utility in “CUVs”, let’s just call this what it is, a sedan styling exercise for SUV fetishists. Lucky for few, World Car Fans has rounded up some X1 photos at the ‘Ring (for some reason). Hit the jump for the target of my mockery.
