We all know how the MTV reality show Jersey Shore has popularized the crap out of the New Jersey Guido. Sure it’s a fun place to go and hang out and to people watch there is probably no better place on earth. The guys and gals that populate this area of the stinky state show up around June 1st and don’t leave until the end of the Labor Day weekend. One aspect of the Jersey shore that some people fail to take into consideration are the cars in which these wonderful individuals showcase themselves in. Just like Los Angeles the Jersey shore is all about show and bling. Sure, most of the beach and club goers live at home in their parents basement in real life, but once the sun comes out it’s all about rolling heavy and showing off. Here is a listing of some of the Jersey Shore’s rolling hardware.

What’s Faster: A Corvette Z06 Or A Scion TC?

Posted in Bizarre, Cool Stuff, Corner Carvers, Corvette, General, Racing, Scion, Track Events by Kurt Ernst | August 22nd, 2010 | 6 Responses |

The answer is, “it depends on how much development has been done to each car”. In the case of the time attack prepped Scion TC in this video, the answer is a boatload full of work. Details are somewhat lacking, but the car apparently dyno’d at 899 front wheel horsepower. Add a monster front wing for added grip in the corners, and you’ve got a Scion TC that can show taillights to a surprising number of other cars. The driver in the video was new to the Sebring track and was having brake problems, which explains his somewhat random choice of lines and braking points. Still, the soundtrack alone makes the video worth watching, and the TC’s disappearing act at 2:00 and again at 4:27 is nothing short of amazing.

2011 Scion tC

Want a chance to win the new Scion tC? Head over to here and sign up for the “Unlock the tC Road Trip” game, which kicks off on June 1. The game will last eight weeks, and players have chances to win various daily prizes throughout the competition.

In the game, each player navigates from New York to Miami, before heading on to Los Angeles. Along the way, players can purchase vehicle upgrades to gain a performance and style advantage. Currency, dubbed ‘tCoins” is earned by inviting friends to join the game via Facebook Connect. The more friends you can get to sign up, the bigger your bank account will be. As with real racing, I suspect, the ultimate winner will be the one with the largest tCoin account.

Cars, like people sometimes get a raw deal as far as looks go. Sure you can dress them up and give them some new shoes, but at the end of the day they still look like they got hit in the face with a bag of hammers. This was unfortunately true for a select few vehicles at this years show.

• The Nissan Juke

Nissan Juke

I mean really, how many sets of lights does one car need? We’ve got lights on the hood, lights in the grill, and then underneath on the chin spoiler even more lights – these were itty bitty though. The Nissan Juke hasn’t even been released in the U.S. yet, but I fear that if it does make it to our shores, it’s going to be the butt of more than a few jokes.

2011 Scion TC

Every year I go to the New York International Auto Show and every year Scion shows up with a great booth pimping out their latest and greatest. As I approached their display one car immediately jumped out at me. It was a hot-rodded version of the 2011 Scion TC that was heavily modified by Five Axis for the NYIAS.

Denis Leary said it best when he said: “Happiness comes in small doses folks. It’s a cigarette butt, or a chocolate chip cookie or a five second orgasm. You come, you smoke the butt, you eat the cookie you go to sleep wake up and go back to fucking work the next morning, THAT’S IT! End of fucking list!” … and God Damn if that isn’t that truth.

I threw that up because a car guys happiness is measured in much the same way… take this preview of the upcoming Tanner Foust video where he rapes Mullholland Drive! Man I can’t wait for march.

Dodge Challenger Furious Fuchsia

Remember years ago when “Limited” numbers meant that it was going to be produced in small quantities? Nowadays every company out there produces a “Limited Edition” something or other. Automotive manufacturers are notorious for this. Take the current crop of “Limited Edition” vehicles for the 2010-2011 model year.

Scion Xb

Beautiful paint, nice drop.

Chris Roberts sent in pics of his one-of-a-kind Scion Xb. Tasteful on the outside in pearlescent Lamborghini blue and black paint, it’s the interior that sets this Xb apart.
