Pulling off a good wheelie on a motorcycle is not an easy thing to do, but can be accomplished with time and practice. However pulling off an extended wheelie on a full-dress Harley-Davidson bagger? Well, that’s another story entirely. You see these suckers can weigh upwards of 700 pounds, so hoisting, and then keeping that front wheel skyward is no easy task. The Amelia Island Concours is quickly becoming the Pebble Beach of the East Coast. Once a year some of the most stunning vehicles in the world gather for one simple task – to celebrate mechanized transportation. The goal this year was to celebrate 50 years of the Ford GT40, 50 years of Lamborghini, 50 years of the Porsche 911, 50 years of the Corvette Stingray, and Ducati motorcycle as a whole. Having your identity defined by your athletic ability is something of a double-edged sword. On the one hand when you’re at the peak of your career, life is sure to be a wonderful thing. But what about when it ends – what then? Roland Sands was a professional motorcycle racer, however when his career ended he struggled with what came next. What he found was that he didn’t have to reinvent himself, but rather utilize the skills he learned as a racer and designer to form his own design, motorcycle and apparel company.

For anyone who wants to know, the Classic Car Club Manhattan is located on 250 Hudson Street in New York, NY. The area is known as Tribeca and is home to some of the most desirable property in the entire city. I used to work three blocks from that address and everyday I’d walk by their windows and peak inside to see what cars were on the floor. To some, this video may seem a bit on the irresponsible side, but to a native New Yorker like myself, it’s just how we drive.

Nick Eterovic is a car designer who loves his job. However as a designer you’ve got to have something on the side that gets your creative juices flowing and stimulates the old noggin on a daily basis. For Eterovic, it’s his love of motorcycles and more importantly, how he can craft them without having to deal with a committee. Much Much Go is a video that’s been done a thousand times. So, you think you’re a great motorcycle rider do you? You think that because you own leathers, a nice helmet and maybe do 2 or 3 track days a year that this puts you in some kind of elite club. Well, think again, because what you’re about to see is something that will shatter any preconceived notions of what you think “fast” is. Back in my younger (and dumber) days, running flat out on the open road on two-wheels was something that we’d do just about every weekend. Our runs however were somewhat illegal, whereas the race you’re about to see between a Kawasaki liter bike and an Audi RS6 was performed well withing the spectrum of the law as it took place on Germany’s autobahn. Both parties are no doubt maxed out, but in my opinion it’s the guy on the bike that really deserves the props.

It’s one thing to be riding on a motorcycle and to get caught in dodgy weather, but riding through it on purpose? That’s another story entirely. On this, RideApart’s season II finale, two-wheeled superhero Jamie Robinson climbs aboard a KTM 990 Adventure and heads for the back hills of Colorado where he faces ice, snow and or course, the occasional dirt trail. He also proves once and for all that motorcycling is not so much about the bike that you ride, but about the adventure that it takes you on.
