Subaru STI Barrel Jump

It should come as no surprise that the only real way to experience a true performance car is to take it to the track. Here in the United States organizations like NASA (National Auto Sport Association) and Hooked on Driving will not only provide you with a safe environment, but they’ll offer you instruction and guidance as well. There are those however who feel that they know best, don’t require instruction and prefer to simply go it alone when it comes to wheeling their vehicle at speed. Obviously when this happens mayhem ensues and you wind up with instances like the one you’re about to see.

Subaru Impreza

When someone tells you, “You Get What You Pay For” they’re saying that for a reason. You see people don’t part with things that are worth money, they simply don’t. That’s why it shouldn’t have come as a surprise to this new Subaru owner that the car she purchased from for $600 has a blown rear suspension. The suspension is so torn up in fact that this thing literally does bunny-hops when forced into a panic stop situation and that my friends is not OK.

Thumbs Up: Capable of light off-roading, yet still comfortable on-road.

Thumbs Down: Improved CVT is still a CVT, no automatic transmission options.

It’s hard to believe, but the Subaru Outback has been with us now for nearly 20 years. The Outback has grown larger and more luxurious over the years, with some versions clearly pushing into what would have been luxury territory just a few years back. Read More…

SubaruBRZ Toyota F86

As of right now the Subaru BRZ and Toyota FR-S are the darlings of the automotive world. They’re front engine rear-wheel drive configuration means they’re a blast to drive. Combine that with a stout Subaru derived boxer-four and a great suspension and well, these little buggers have “track day” written all over them. Best Motoring recently pitted the Mazda Miata against these two new comers at the Motegi Ring in Japan and while they didn’t crush the Miata by any means, they didn’t disappoint either.

2013 Subaru BRZ

I just recently posted an article stating how I had completely misread the new Subaru BRZ. You see I was all up in arms about the lack of horsepower, that was until, I drove it. The BRZ is a little pistol of a car that will provide you with smiles galore, loads of seat of the pants action and all the fun you could ever ask for if you decide to take it to the track. Recently the guys from Consumer Reports got their hands on one and came to the same exact conclusion.
