1969 Lamborghini Miura S

What you are about to see is perhaps the most beautiful automobile ever created. It has the presence of an Italian supermodel and the power of a well seasoned prize fighter. This is the 1969 Lamborghini Miura S, and with its mid-mounted V12, scrape-the-ground stance and symphonic exhaust note, it may just be the world’s most perfect automobile.

Amelia Island

The Amelia Island Concours is quickly becoming the Pebble Beach of the East Coast. Once a year some of the most stunning vehicles in the world gather for one simple task – to celebrate mechanized transportation. The goal this year was to celebrate 50 years of the Ford GT40, 50 years of Lamborghini, 50 years of the Porsche 911, 50 years of the Corvette Stingray, and Ducati motorcycle as a whole. The video is almost 16-minutes in length, but if you have the time, I fully encourage you to watch it in its entirety.

Track Battle

We all know about shows like Top Gear, Fifth Gear and hell, even Fast N Loud. But there’s another automotive program that actually trumps every single one of them. It’s called Best Motoring and it’s featured only in Japan. The show pits super-cars against each other in no-holds-barred track battles that are truly epic. What you are about to see has been out for awhile, however once you hit the play button I think you’ll forget about that. Think Ferrari F40 vs Porsche GT2 vs Lamborghini Diablo vs GT3 RS vs Ferrari 355 vs Nissan GT-R vs Ferrari F50. Crazy right! Check it out after the jump.

LamborghiniDiablo_1

9 times out 10, when we see a Lamborghini Diablo on the street, we’re looking at some cobbled together kit-car that’s based off of a Pontiac Fiero. This one however is the real deal. A 2001 Lamborghini Diablo 6.0 VT that’s currently on eBay and, according to the ad is a one owner car. VT stands for viscous traction (seriously, it does) as the Diablo used a version of the 4WD system that was found in their LM002 SUV. Power comes from a 6.0-liter V12 that makes 575 hp and 457 lb·ft of torque. Outstanding numbers even by today’s standards. Located in Columbus, OH and with only 23,825 miles on the clock, this Diablo has liberal carbon fiber and an interior that looks to be in fabulous condition. You can check out more images after the jump or go directly to the eBay ad below.

Battle of the Exotics: Countach vs Vanquish

Lamborghini Countach

The Aston Martin Vanquish and the Lamborghini Countach. Two super cars from different eras that provoke different reactions from all that view them. The Countach is the stuff that childhood dreams are made of, whereas the Vanquish is what Fortune 500 CEO’s think about. The Countach is a superhero, where the Aston Martin is an accountant. The Countach is passion, performance and penis (that’s right, I said penis) all rolled into one, where the Vanquish is a nice suit with fancy underwear. Ezra Dyer of Yahoo Autos recently got a chance to compare the two and surprisingly his thoughts were very similar to my own. The fun begins after the jump.

Ken Imhoff Lamborghini Countach

For some people, the dream of owning a Lamborghini Countach is one that, unfortunately, never materializes. Ken Imhoff however is not just “some people” and instead of searching for one, he said “screw it!” and built one in his basement. The project took him 17 years and gained international notoriety through such outlets as NPR, Regis & Kelly, Paul Harvey and Ripley’s it Believe or Not. However now Mr. Imhoff has decided to sell his prized bull so he can move onto other projects. Ken’s creation is simply stunning from every angle. Weighing in at 2,400 lbs., this custom Countach features a 377 cu-in Ford Cleveland V8 making north of 500 hp, a Pantera ZF 5-speed transmission, Wilwood 4 piston Super Lite brakes and BBS rims with custom center sections. There are only 4 days left on the auction, so if you’re interested you’d better make your bid quick!

Lamborghini Countach

They’re icons of speed separated by 25 years. One is equipped with simple carburetors, the other with one of the most advanced fuel management systems in existence. They’ll both run over 180 mph and do so in a fashion that makes other automobiles seem inferior. The Lamborghini Countach and Aventador are stunning in every way, especially when they’re running side-by-side near the Lamborghini factory in Sant’Agata, Italy.

The Final Gallardo

The Final Gallardo

Let’s be honest here, Lamborghini is not a company that utilizes mass market advertising. In fact I can’t recall the last time I actually saw a video that was produced by them. However, with the upcoming demise of the Gallardo, Lamborghini has decided to honor it’s little bull by sending it out in style. “The Final Gallardo” is the manufacturers way of not only saying goodbye to a model that has served them extremely well, but it’s also sending us a message that a replacement is on its way. Click through and check out the video.
