Aventador

If anyone ever offers you a ride in a Lamborghini Aventador the only word that should come out of your mouth is YES. Matt Farah took me for a ride in this very car while at the SEMA show this year and I’ve got to admit, it’s every bit as crazy as he said it would be. Don’t believe me? Click through and find out.

Lamborghini Countach

One of the best parts about Jay Leno being a car guy is that he truly does do the hobby proud. He doesn’t discriminate against brands, loves both old and new technology and drives the crap out of everything he owns every chance he gets. This is an older episode where Jay is kind enough to treat us all to a ride in his 1986 Lamborghini Countach, a car that adolescent boys still dream about.

Jumping Lamborghini Aventadors?

Flying Aventador

Having access to one Lamborghini Aventador would place most people into cardiac arrest – but having two? That’s just plain crazy. Fortunately for the guys over at AUTOCAR, Lamborghini felt the need to let them play with both the roadster AND coupe, and in typical hoonigan fashion they went ahead and jumped them both!

Lamborghini Diablo

Abbott and Costello, peanut butter and jelly, kibbles and bits and the Lamborghini Diablo SV-R and the Stars and Stripes. These are just a few pairings that live together in a harmony that few will ever understand. Only 31 examples of the Lamborghini SV-R were produced and this one, modified with a Diablo VT 6.0 front clip, was painted in the Stars and Stripes livery, thus making it one of the greatest Italian Americans we’ve ever come across.

Lamborghini Countach Lp400 vs Ferrari 512 BB

Lamborghini Countach

The Lamborghini Countach and the Ferrari 512BB. Two legendary cars that graced the walls of millions of adolescent boys throughout the 1970′s and 1980′s. The Countach Lp400 was powered by a 350 hp V12 that produced 263 lb-ft of torque. This meant a top speed of over 180 mph – in 1974!! The Ferrari pumped out 360 hp and 333 lb-ft of torque from its horizontal flat-12 engine and also ran over 180 mph flat out. Both cars are icons and both extremely quick, even by today’s standards. The biggest problem though is their price tags, as each car commands high 6-figures. Oh well… one can dream.

Love To Hate Me

Criminals, undesirables and hooligans. All members of society that intrigue those of us who lead relatively normal lives. We see these folks and sometimes wonder how and why they choose to lead a life that goes against conformity and portrays them in a much more unfavorable light. Morohoshi-san lives in Japan and pilots one of the most garish Lamborghini Diablo’s we’ve ever come across. For him, the car is a big fuck you to society and its rules and lets the world know that he is in fact, an unsavory individual.

Chris Rock Jerry Seinfeld

The Lamborghini Miura is, in this writers opinion, the most beautiful automobile ever created. This week on Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, Jerry Seinfeld welcomes friend and fellow comic Chris Rock to the stage. Rock is definitely not a car guy, but you’d have to be dead not to appreciate the beauty that is the Miura. From the eyelashes on the headlights, to the horizontally opposed V12, this is THE car that dreams are made of. Click on the link below to check out the season finale.

Lamborghini Espada 1000 mile road trip | EVO

Lamborghini Espada

It doesn’t have the looks of the Miura, the machismo of the Countach or even the wow factor of the Jalpa, but that doesn’t mean that the Lamborghini Espada is a bad car. It’s got a de-tuned version of the V12 engine found in the Miura, doesn’t handle all that well and yet there’s something oddly endearing about this much overlooked machine. Maybe it’s the fact that it looks to much like a car and less like a Lamborghini, or perhaps it’s that it has four seats. Whatever the case though there is no denying that it makes some of the best sounds in all of motoring.

1988LamborghiniCountach_1

A few weeks ago I was down at Cars & Coffee in Los Angeles, CA. This is a gathering that occurs every weekend and brings with it some of the greatest cars ever produced. Aside from such things as the odd new McLaren, Ferrari 458s and old muscle cars, one car in particular really stood out. It was a 1988 Lamborghini Countach like the one you are viewing here. This is a car that has the capacity to basically stop people in their tracks. It’s wedge shape is iconic and even though the car is now 25 years old, it’s stood the test of time incredibly well. This particular car went through a major service in 2005 totaling a whopping $40,908 and according to the seller, is ready to go. If you’re interested in owning a piece of automotive history then don’t hesitate and click through to view more pics.
