For as long as I can remember Jaguar has made good cars. Not great cars mind you, but good cars. They’ve always been relatively quick with decent handling, but they’ve never been what you would call “stellar” at anything. Chris Harris however recently found out there is a small group of engineers at Jaguar that seek to not only change that, but make one of their big cats into a fire breathing track stud. From the looks of this video and Harris’s reaction, they’re succeeding.

Jaguar F-Type

It’s visually stunning, a direct competitor to the Porsche 911, and makes noises that will make all your naughty bits tingle. This is the new Jaguar F-Type and it’s one helluva sexy machine. Jaguar went through great pains to make sure this car was done right. It packs a supercharged 5-liter V8 that makes 495 hp, a new ZF 8-speed transmission with rev-matching and a 0-60 mph time of just 4.2 seconds. This is a seriously fast car (186 mph), however with a price tag of over $100,000, one has to ask themselves – is it really worth it? Matt Farah recently flew up to Washington to check out the new F-Type, and judging from the amount of giggling that went on, he loved it.

Jaguar XJ220

If you had access to a Ferrari Enzo, Two Ferrari F50’s, a Bugatti EB110ss, Rolls Royce Phantom II, and a Jaguar XJ220, how would you drive them? Would you baby them and regard them as sculptures, or would you beat the ever-loving snot out of them and drive them as they were suppose to be driven. Tax the Rich is a fun little video series that shows a few very lucky owners driving their super cars in anger, or as we see it, the way that they’re supposed to be driven.

Jaguar FType V8S

The new Jaguar F-Type V8S, on paper, is a pretty stout automobile. It packs a supercharged V8 that makes 495 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. It has an 8-speed automatic transmission, is dead sexy to look at and is the first real Jaguar performer in quite some time. However before you run out and spend $100k, you may want to consider that its rivals, the Porsche 911S Convertible and the Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster are also out there roaming the streets. Chris Harris recently got these three together to see which one was King of the high performer drop-tops.

eBay Deal of the Week: 2008 Aston Martin Vanquish Replica

2008 Aston Martin Vanquish

Kit-cars, the bastard stepchildren of high-end exotics everywhere. From the iconic Ferrari 308 and Lamborghini Countach, to the Bentley Continental and Shelby Cobra, these cars do unfortunately fill a void in the automotive hobby. Most cars start out life as ill-fated Pontiac Fiero’s, but every now and again you come across one that’s actually pretty cool. Take for instance this 2008 Aston Martin Vanquish replica that’s currently for sale on eBay Motors. It started life as a 1998 Jaguar XK8 with a 300 hp 4.0L V8. From there all the body panels were stripped and the Aston kit was installed and painted matte black. Now granted, this car may not be for everyone, but as far as kit-cars go, it’s really not half bad. Click through for more pics and video after the jump.
