Porsche Jaguar Battle

It’s not the fastest, tidiest or best way to get around a road course, but when it comes to full-on drifting excitement, there is no one better in the business than Tiff Needell. On this episode of EVOTV, Tiff grabs hold of a Porsche 911 Cabriolet and Jaguar’s new F-type for a flat-out track battle to see which machine has the goods when it comes to carving it up during weekend road course duty.

1974 Jaguar XKE

Sometimes all it takes is a neighbor with the right car to inspire a young car guys imagination. In this case the young guy was David Paddison and the car was a V12 Jaguar 2+2 Coupe. Paddison never forgot the car from his youth and when the time was right he scooped up a stunning cat for his very own. The 1974 Jaguar XKE was the last model year run for Jaguars iconic E-Type. Sure it has those big bumperettes on the front, but even those can’t ruin what some consider to be the best looking car of all time. Check it out after the jump.

Vintage automobiles all seem to have their own unique personalities. Some are compliant, others finicky and yet there are those who don’t cooperate at all. In the case of Jim Jones and his 22-year journey with his 1957 Jaguar Mark 1, the story simply unfolds as a great relationship between a willful owner and an old car that just yearned to be restored. eBay Deal of the Week: 2008 Aston Martin Vanquish Replica

2008 Aston Martin Vanquish

Kit-cars, the bastard stepchildren of high-end exotics everywhere. From the iconic Ferrari 308 and Lamborghini Countach, to the Bentley Continental and Shelby Cobra, these cars do unfortunately fill a void in the automotive hobby. Most cars start out life as ill-fated Pontiac Fiero’s, but every now and again you come across one that’s actually pretty cool. Take for instance this 2008 Aston Martin Vanquish replica that’s currently for sale on eBay Motors. It started life as a 1998 Jaguar XK8 with a 300 hp 4.0L V8. From there all the body panels were stripped and the Aston kit was installed and painted matte black. Now granted, this car may not be for everyone, but as far as kit-cars go, it’s really not half bad. Click through for more pics and video after the jump.

Introducing the 2014 Jaguar XFR-S

Posted in Best of, Burnouts, European Rides, General, Hoonage, Jaguar, Rides, Stunts, Videos by MrAngry | December 8th, 2012 | Leave a Reply |

Jaguar XFR-S

It has four doors, a 550 hp 5.0-liter V8, does 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds and looks exactly like a Holden Monaro. This is the new 2014 Jaguar XFR-S and aside from looking like a car that was built down under, it strikes us as one hell of an automobile. I recently saw this new cat at the L.A. Auto Show and in person it’s actually quite a looker. This new Jag appeals to those owners who want a bit of extra grunt over the that of the XFR (510 hp). The XFR-S boasts an 8-speed automatic transmission, performance exhaust, unique 20-inch wheels and of course that 550 hp supercharged V8. Prices start at $99,000 which is a pretty big nut. However if you’re fan of these big cats then the Jaguar XFR-S may be exactly what you’re looking for.

Alex Roy Live and Let Drive

Here’s the deal, if you don’t think Alex Roy is a genius on commentary, snarky wisdom and all things loveable about the automobile then there is something wrong with you. Roy is one of the few people in existence that can talk about absolutely nothing of relevance and make it sound interesting. Case in point, his newest video on DRIVE about a fun-filled Jaguar XFR and his old friend and Gumball3000 co-pilot, Brit Michael Ross.

2012 Jaguar XKR-S: RideLust Review

2012 Jaguar XKR-S

Thumbs Up: This cat has claws, not what you expect from Jaguar.

Thumbs down: Good luck finding one, since they’re sold out.

Buy This Car If: You’re looking for the most powerful production Jag ever built.

Jaguars, of late, have not been known for their razor sharp handling. Even so-called sport models have grown soft over the years, and seem to be aimed more at providing a comfortable ride to the country club than at strafing apexes at Sebring. Recent Jags that we’ve driven have been plenty fast in a straight line, but have been saddled with too soft a suspension or too narrow a tire. Read More…

2012 Jaguar XF Supercharged: RideLust Review

2012 Jaguar XF Supercharged

Thumbs Up: Seamless and abundant power in a comfortable and stylish wrapper.

Thumbs Down: Needs more tire.

Buy This Car If: You want a luxury sport sedan alternative to the BMW 550i.

If you think Jaguars are stuffy luxury cars, down on performance and soft of suspension, Jaguar’s midsize XF sedan will change your mind. Available in hot, hotter and hottest, even base models get the benefit of a 5.0-liter V-8, good for 385 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. The entry level car will run you from 0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds, and that’s the slowest model in the XF bunch. Read More…
