Track Battle

We all know about shows like Top Gear, Fifth Gear and hell, even Fast N Loud. But there’s another automotive program that actually trumps every single one of them. It’s called Best Motoring and it’s featured only in Japan. The show pits super-cars against each other in no-holds-barred track battles that are truly epic. What you are about to see has been out for awhile, however once you hit the play button I think you’ll forget about that. Think Ferrari F40 vs Porsche GT2 vs Lamborghini Diablo vs GT3 RS vs Ferrari 355 vs Nissan GT-R vs Ferrari F50. Crazy right! Check it out after the jump.

Ferrari 250 GT Lusso

Every petrol-head worth his salt has a ritual when it comes to how they operate and care for their vehicle. Some enthusiasts only drive on Sundays and others, only at night. Whatever the case though one thing is always certain – we all live to drive. James Chen is one such enthusiast and his car of choice is this amazing Ferrari 250 GT Lusso. Chen drives this rare beast throughout the streets and canyons of Los Angeles county when the roads are dark and free of traffic. For him, these early morning drives are his ritual and something that we here at RL.com are totally envious of. Check it out after the jump.

Ferrari F50 Showdown: Pure Italian Madness

Ferrari F50

To some, the idea of mercilessly beating on an uber-rare exotic car is sacrilege. However to someone like me, it’s exactly what one should be doing if they have access to such a machine. Far too often these beasts are relegated to garages, rubbed with diapers and only driven when the weather is perfect. Thankfully though someone out there has not only seen the light, but decided to grace us with one of the best videos we’ve seen in a LONG time. Seriously – when was the last time you saw a pair of Ferrari F50′s not only being put through their paces, but flogged like a rented mule.

Ferrari 328

This is Joe Frazar, an automotive enthusiast that you should listen to. Joe’s automotive philosophy is simple – buy cars to drive, collect and enjoy, but never store. His current garage holds a combination of mild Ferrari’s like a 328 GTS and a Mondial, as well as a hot-rodded Porsche 914-6 that makes him giggle like a little kid. However when he’s not driving, Joe’s searching the classifieds for the next piece of automotive kit that may, or may not, find a place in his garage.

eBay Deal of the Week: 1974 Dino 246 GTS

Posted in eBay Motors, European Rides, Ferrari, General, Promoted, Rides by MrAngry | April 1st, 2013 | 1 Response |

1974Ferrari246Dino_1

It wasn’t until the last 15 years or so that Ferrari’s 246 Dino were actually considered to be good investments. The Dino’s were always thought to be lacking in the performance department due in part to their 195 hp 6-cylinder engines. However those who were able to look past this realized that the Dino was one of the best driving cars Ferrari ever produced thanks to their low weight and superb chassis. The following example shows just 12,678 miles on the odometer and is in amazing original condition aside from a single repaint in original Bianca white. The original Daytona seats show only slight wear and mechanically, with service records from new, the car is said to be a very strong runner. eBay Deal of the Week: 1995 Ferrari 512M

Posted in Best of, eBay Motors, European Rides, Ferrari, General, Promoted, Rides by MrAngry | March 11th, 2013 | Leave a Reply |

1995_ferrari_512m_3

Even though it’s almost 20-years old this 1995 Ferrari 512M looks remarkably fresh. Maybe it’s because it only has a scant 5,427 miles on the clock, or maybe it’s because the 512M was the best of the Testarossa lineup. Built at the end of the Tesstarossa’s 12-year life cycle, the 512M benefited from some pretty special upgrades. The flip-up headlamps for example were now gone and replaced by more modern flush mounted units, while power output on the mid-mounted flat-12 engine was bumped to 432 hp and 369 lb.ft. of torque. This particular vehicle (number 57 of 75 worldwide) is currently for sale on eBay and is located in San Francisco, CA. It also looks to be in truly spectacular condition. LaFerrari

In 1984 there was the Ferrari 288 GTO. Housing a mid-engine twin-turbo V8 that produced 400 hp and 366 lb·ft of torque, it was one of the first, truly modern Ferrari’s. In 1987 came the F40, a car that some consider to be one of the greatest cars ever build and the last pure Ferrari. It used a derivative of the engine used in the 288 GTO, and made 478 hp and 425 lb·ft of torque. The F50 debuted in 1996, and with a naturally aspirated 4.7-liter V12, power was bumped to 513 hp and 347 lb·ft of torque. It was also capable of taking the car to a top speed of 194 mph. In 2002 the Ferrari Enzo tore into the motoring press. It looked like nothing else on the road and like the F50 before it, utilized a V12 making 651 hp and 485 lb·ft of torque.

It’s now 2013 and Ferrari has just pulled the curtain back on its newest creation, the LaFerrari. It utilizes a HY-KERS system and a carbon-fibre chassis and is stunning from just about every angle. Click through to check out Ferrari’s newest creation.

Ferrari Testarossa

Do you like Miami Vice, cocaine and shoulder pads? Well, if you do, then the Ferrari Testarossa is the car for you! Packing a 4.9-liter flat-12, the Testarossa pumped out 390 hp / 361 lb.ft of torque, ran to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds and onto a top speed of 180 mph. Pretty amazing numbers for something that was built almost 30 years ago. A beautiful car that has handled the ravages of time amazingly well, the Testarossa is one of those rare cars that still inspires designers and creates dreams in the minds of little boys everywhere.

All I can do is give them full props for kicking the shit out of that thing and driving it like it should be driven. BOOYA!! ENZO DOIN’ DONUTS IN THE MUD!!
