2013 Ford Flex Limited

PRO’s: Great styling, tons of usable space, room for 7 adults, above average visibility and BIG POWER!!

CON’s: Under bolstered front seats.

FINAL THOUGHT: A wonderful alternative to the standard SUV/Minivan that provides all day comfort, big power, room for seven and a driving experience that is MUCH better than you’d expect.

If you were a kid from the mid-1940′s to the mid-1980′s then the odds of you being shuffled around by your parents in a station wagon were pretty damn good. You see before the minivan and the SUV came into the picture, wagons were the shizznit. In fact it hasn’t been until recently that manufacturers are taking a second look and wondering if they should revisit a formula that worked so well for over 40 years. For most people saying “minivan” or “station wagon” is a dirty thing. I mean they’re driven by people who are old, have no fun and are martyrs to their children, right? Well, not really. You see these big behemoths of the open road were people movers and served a purpose that few other vehicles could match. It’s now 2013 and although wagons are few and far between these days, that hasn’t stopped some manufacturers from re-imagining what the wagon should be.

Now, thanks to this gentlemen who is simply named Mr. Blue, you’ll learn everything you ever wanted to know about these old school bad-asses.

2013 Ford Fusion SE

PRO’s: Stunning styling, beautiful interior, sporty chassis with confidence inspiring road manners.

CON’s: 1.6-liter Ecoboost is a bit underpowered, SYNC is still annoying, do we really need park assist technology?

FINAL THOUGHT: The beauty of the new 2013 Ford Fusion is that depending on how it’s optioned out, it can truly be a car that anyone would be proud to own. It offers good value, fuel economy and interior room, along with the best styling in the business.

So here you have it, the newly redesigned 2013 Ford Fusion. A Story

We all drive for different reasons. For some of us automobiles are just basic transportation, for others they’re an escape from the everyday, and yet for others still (like me) they’re a way to make a living. There are those however whose cars are a family affair, and when that happens it’s pretty much the best thing ever.

eBay Deal of the Week: 2000 Ford Mustang Cobra R

2000 Ford Mustang Cobra R

Every now and then Ford pulls some magic out of that blue oval hat of theirs. I mean it’s no secret that they’ve got the ability to make wonderful cars, but when you’re main job is to pump out Fusions and Fiestas all day (great cars in their own right), it’s sometimes hard to build what you really want. Back in 2000 though the guys at SVT pumped out a Mustang that to this day, is still one of the coolest production track rats ever made. This is the Mustang Cobra R and until the BOSS 302 Laguna Seca was released in 2012, this Cobra R WAS the baddest Mustang you could buy. Hell, even buy today’s standards this sucker is a rock star. It pumps out 385 hp / 385 lb.ft. of torque, pulled over 1.0g on the skid pad, got to 60 mph in under 5.0 seconds and also came equipped with an independent rear suspension and Brembo brakes. The one you are viewing here is currently for sale on eBay where the current bid is $33,100.00. With only 500 miles on the odometer you can bet the price will only get higher as the bidding goes on as it’s one of the nicest examples I’ve seen to date.

Raptor Jump

Have you ever partaken in an event only to realize that in hindsight it may not have been a great idea? Sadly I’ve been in a few of these situations and thankfully I’ve always come away unscathed. There are those however who haven’t been so lucky and to them I can only say, shit happens. Now the video you’re about to see contains so much “wrong” that it’s painful, yet the participates, like me, dodged a bullet. Watch for yourself and see if you think this was a good idea.

2013 Ford Focus ST: A Joint RideLust Review

Posted in Car Reviews, Domestic, Domestic Review, Domestic Rides, Featured, Ford, General, Rides by Kurt Ernst | January 21st, 2013 | Leave a Reply |

2013 Ford Focus ST

Thumbs Up: Kurt: The best front-drive hot hatch currently on the market. Mike: Yeah, what he said…

Thumbs Down: Limited rear seat leg room. Mike: Interior may be a little too over-stylized for some people.

Buy This Car If: You want a blend of entertaining and practical, and don’t need the rear legroom. Mike: OR if you’ve got a teenager at home, your car is boring, and you want something that’s a pisser to drive on weekends.

Kurt: In the time it took for Ford to bring the eagerly-anticipated Focus ST hot hatch to market in the United States, you could have gotten married, had a few kids, put them through college and started to eat into your retirement savings – or so it seemed. Some two years elapsed between the confirmation that the car would come to the United States (delivered at the 2010 Paris Motor Show) and the car’s actual appearance in 2012 as a 2013 model. Delay after delay after delay seemed to plague the 2013 Ford Focus ST, which begs the question: was it worth the wait?

Frank the Tank

If you’ve never bought a beater car for the sake of doing so, you’re missing out on one of the great joys of motoring. These cars offer up a level of freedom seldom seen in today’s automotive world. They let us park where we want, drive over anything and at days end, drive like complete hoons in the appropriate arenas. This 1993 Ford Aerostar minivan is a perfect example of that. Bought for the paltry sum of $300.00, “Frank the Tank” as it was aptly named, brought nothing but fun and joy to these four friends. Plus, it show them (and the rest of us) that the Ford Aerostar minivan is a far more capable vehicle than originally anticipated.

Ford Mustang Crash

If you’re an American male and you’ve never owned a Ford Mustang then you’re missing out on one of the great joys of motoring. This is a hooligan car plain and simple. With a big honkin’ V8 up front and solid live axle out back, the Mustang is one of those cars that can make any driver feel like a superhero. That is of course, until you crash it, which unfortunately is something that happens quite often.
