Here’s a crazy metric that the eggheads at Sportec figured out that helps put this nutso Swiss tuner 911 into perspective: 214.5 horsepower. At each wheel. At an astonishing 8200 RPM, mind you. Basically, this all-wheel-drive 911 will destroy the fabric of the universe with its tires. Einstein is spinning in his grave, and the insurance companies are running for the hills because they certainly don’t want to pay out on your life insurance policy. 0-62 MPH happens in 3.0 seconds, and 60-telephone pole will happen after an additional 4 seconds.

So there’s rare, and there’s rare. The Zonda isn’t exactly a Camry to begin with, so your chances of dinging one with a shopping cart are pretty low. But how about having your own special model? If you’re one Peter Saywell of the UK, you’d commission Pagani to build you one. Word is that Mr. Saywell wanted a Zonda Cinque, but all 5 were sold. This is the result of that frustration – a bespoke model bearing his initials. Lucky bastard.

The road-going version of the McLaren F1 is quite possibly the greatest supercar … ever. I stand by that statement. The Veyron is faster, the Koenigsegg has more raw horsepower, but the F1 did it all, arguably with more class. And the GTR version was all that and more. It’s famous for winning the 1995 24 Hours of LeMans outright despite merely being entered in the GT1 class … the reliability and balance of the F1 GTR allowed it to triumph over much faster LeMans Prototypes. And now, if you have a vast wad of cash and access to a racetrack, you can own your own F1 GTR. How much? If you have to ask …

2009 Subaru Stella
The 2009 Stella Plug-in EV is officially the first EV manufactured by a major automaker for sale to the public. And while that distinction seems less prestigious with every new EV and Hybrid that appears on the horizon, the fact that Subaru is the manufacturer IS somewhat of a surprise given their previous ambivalence towards this segment.

BMW’s looking to take on the newest Audi RS6 by producing a boosted version of the M5’s V10 motor, which sources say should make more than 600 HP. The new engine is said to be a development of the twin-turbo 4.4L V8 from the X6M, which makes 564 HP already. With two extra cylinders and the M division’s careful caressing, the newest M5 should be more than a match for the RS6’s bi-turbo V10, which makes 580 HP currently.

“Why is this guy smiling? Because he’s enhanced for speed, handling, and comfort – with a Specter Werkes GTR!” Or so their marketing jingle might go. (Plus, this supplement would work for the ladies as well.) The Troy, Michigan based outfit has tweaked their already sweet styling and performance package for the C6 Corvette with an extra 80 HP, courtesy of a new cam profile. How does 615 HP and 578 ft-lbs of torque sound to you? Probably pretty radical through that serious-looking Corsa exhaust, actually. It should be noted that some of this power is also extracted by stroking the LS3 to 6.8 liters.

Everyone who knows anything about those fine Bavarian sportscars with the roundel on the hood knows that if your car sports an M-badge, it’s usually backed up by a seriously good motor and a lot of tweaking. That is, unless you’re either a poser who shaved your 318i and slapped a M3 logo on, or this distressing styling package from our Bayerische friends. Take a regular 7-Series, add “unique styling accessories” like new front and rear bumpers, more chrome, and … wait for it … M-Design wheels, and you get this.

Worth more than $100,000!
The good folks at Hemmings have been following the auction of a famous collection of toys (formerly owned by Donald Kaufman, a co-founder of K-B Toys) including a lot of rare, obscure, and generally boring looking toy cars. But here’s the good part – the toy cars brought $4.2 million. That’s 2.8 Bugatti Veyron 16.4’s!

The object of our unabated RideLust, the Audi R8 V10, is expected to be joined by a drop-top variant later this year in the form of the 2011 Audi R8 Spyder V10. Aside from the fact that it will blow the skin off your face, little is known about the turbocharged rag top or when it will finally grace us with its uncamouflaged presence. Sources hint that the Spyder V10 could make an appearance as early as September at the Frankfurt Motor Show, while others suggest a formal debut could be delayed until the NAIAS in January. So until we receive the official word from Herndon, we’ll just have to settle for this footage filmed of the Spyder tearing up the asphalt around the Nürburgring.
