10 Cars That Are Guaranteed To Get You Laid

A question that man has feverishly wrestled with since the dawn of time: ”How can I score with that hot chick?” Pick-up lines are overrated and have a higher failure rate than an inner-city high school, and date-rape drugs have the potential to get you 5-10 w/o parole - so whatever is a horny guy to do?

Well looks will got you pretty far, and personality even more so, but if you’re bankrupt on both, a surefire way to get lucky is to drive a sweet ride. So on behalf of RideLust, I have taken it upon myself to compile a list of the top 10 surefire “panty peelers” - rides so undeniably lust-able, any man behind the wheel is guaranteed to score at least one piece of quality ass [by "quality" we mean anything from a 7 to a 10; below a 7 and forget a Lambo, you could score that with a Corolla].

1. Lamborghini Gallardo

Although less expensive [and slightly less powerful] than the Lamborghini Murcielago, the Gallardo is Lamborghini’s best selling sports car - and thus the most recognizable [well, subtle exterior colors like "Epilepsy Orange" and "Reflective Traffic Vest Green" help a little, too]. The Lamborghini Gallardo is a fool-proof way to score, we guarantee it. Read more!

Road Rage: American LeMans

Aston Martin GT2 coming to Wisconsin
Aston Martin GT2 coming to Wisconsin

Road racing, in general, and specifically the American LeMans Series of racing, does not get much attention in the land of NASCAR.  Nevertheless, the Generac 500 taking place at Road America in Wisconsin on Aug. 9th is one of the best initiations for those who are new to the sport.  Not only is car racing that includes more than turning left interesting to watch, but the cars on the track in the GT classes are based on real street vehicles…at least in theory.

The 2009 Dodge Durango HEMI Hybrid: Another Jolly Green Giant

Once a member of the environmental blacklist, the new Dodge Durango Hybrid is joining the 2009 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid on the growing list of eco-friendly SUVs. Perhaps one of the greatest examples of American automotive engineering aggressively refusing to be outdone on their home turf, the new 2009 Dodge Durango HEMI Hybrid.

Still featuring a hefty curb weight of 5,609 lbs. and a towing capacity of 6,000 lbs, with the new Durango Hybrid, drivers are no longer forced to choose between power or fuel efficiency. With a redesigned intake manifold and revised exhaust gas-recirculation system [EGR], the new Durango 2-Mode Hybrid will hit the market in the fall of ’08 with its famed 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine and an EPA fuel estimate of 18mpg city/19 hwy.

Using much the same technology as Chrysler’s own green can of whoop-ass, the ’09 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid, the new Durango Hybrid features a Multi-Displacement System [Chrysler/Dodge’s word for “cylinder deactivation] that turns the traditional gas-guzzler into a dainty sipper [well, we mean the term “dainty” in a relative sense]. The 2010 Dodge Hornet: It’s Got Soul

After apparently getting dressed on the Kia Motors side of the design closet, Dodge is rapidly moving forward with their production plans for one of their newest vehicles, the Dodge Hornet. Marketing itself as a fresh, new, innovative design, the Hornet’s rear-hinged doors and absent B-pillar lend it features that are strikingly similar to those of the Kia Soul.

Although lacking the Kia Soul’s center-console mounted laptop [which I still maintain is an awesomely bad idea], the Hornet does feature an impressive dash-mounted GPS system and rear-seat tv screens mounted in the head rests. Intent on maximazing interior space, the Hornet features uniquely styled seats that fold completely flat [Reader Activity: Brainstorm lewd innuendos advertising the ample cargo space – points off if submissions include “If the Hornet’s a-rockin...]. Pimp My Ride: Law Enforcement Edition

In a contest sponsored by the publication “Law & Order”, law enforcement vehicles throughout the nation compete for the “best design” award. This year, a police cruiser from Newport News, Virginia took first place; largely because, said judges; “It’s got bling.”

The cruiser is not a standard issue Virginia patrol car (I can personally attest to this fact inasmuch I, personally, have had the luxury of closely observing quite a few of them in my rear view mirror) but actually a recruiting tool used by the Newport News Police Department – thereby accounting for its “flash”.

1970 Dodge Challenger R/T for sale on eBay: Kowalski’s Car

Vanishing Point

There’s a fantastic 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T on eBay just begging to be painted alpine white and driven from Denver to San Francisco at an insane rate of speed while evading police and getting into adventures. If you don’t understand what I’m talking about, then you need to get on your Netflix queue and put the 1971 classic Vanishing Point on top.

Vanishing Point is, by far, the greatest road movie of all time. It’s the story of a man named Kowalski driving a brand new alpine white 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T across the western United States, and I’ll just leave it at that. The movie has to been seen to be appreciated. It’s a masterpiece, just like the ‘70 Challenger R/T.

The 2009 Dodge Challenger: Back In Black (and Bright Silver Metallic)

In 2008, 34 years after production of the original Challenger ceased, Dodge introduced the Challenger STR8 to the streets. Sitting on a powerful Dodge Charger chassis, the SRT8 boasted a 6.1-liter SRT HEMI V8 engine, 425-horsepower, and 420 lb-ft of torque. In 2009, the Challenger SRT8 is back again, but this time with two friends in tow; the Challenger SE and the Challenger R/T. Read more!

Ferrari Vs Dodge Viper

Dodge Viper vs The Ferrari in a real road test. Let’s just say I’m extremely jealous of these drivers. I wish I had the mad skills it takes to do this. The ending turns out slightly different than you might imagine. Nonetheless I wouldn’t have walked away from this race.

Chrysler’s ‘New Day’ to Begin with Fewer Vehicles Across the Board

Just last year when the new CEO Bob Nardelli of the company announced that Chrysler was going to hualt the production of the PT Cruiser Convertible, Pacifica and Crossfire and the Dodge Magnum the thought that Chrysler was in trouble sprouted for some. It was obvious to many that the US Auto Industry had fattened in its gluttony and was expected to experience a number of “Jenny Craig” years. Now that Cerebrus has their hands on the dials it has been announced by Jim Press that Cerebrus is ready to turn back the dials on their automotive machine and reign in tighter control.

The name of the plan is Project Genesis and from that comes the New Day campaign. From the onset Chrysler will re-examine internal competition taking place between its three brands: Jeep, Dodge and Chrysler. As Jim Press put it, “Do we need 11 SUVs? Maybe we just need three or four?” The word is that Chrysler will cut their vehicle line-up nearly in half and remove a lot of the red tape that hinders decisions in the process.

Another move anticipated in the Project Genesis plan is to consolidate dealerships that are duplications of the Chrysler brand in the same market. They want Jeep, Dodge and Chrysler housed under the same roof and not spread out into their individual parts. This way when the line-up is reduced they will still have complete coverage for what buyers want, instead say having all their Jeep SUV’s across town from their Chrysler cars. How they are going to manage taking franchise’s away from owners and giving them to other dealers is going to be quite a hurdle, but that is their plan. For Chrysler it is all about the “New Day” that they are looking to begin.

Chicago 2008: Dodge Officially Unveils their Production Model Challenger SRT8

challengersrt8-33.jpg picture by willfusion

It has been 2 years since Dodge first exposed the Challenger Concept to the world at the Detroit Auto Show in 2006. Chevy introduced their new Camaro Concept that same year, but it is Dodge that is beating them to the show rooms with their Retro Revival. At this years Chicago Auto Show Dodge has officially unveiled for the first time their production model Dodge Challenger SRT8 after months and months of sneak pics and teaser samples. Ofcourse sales for the once fabled classic have been going on well without official pics or specs as some are reporting that all 6,400 models to be produced this year are all already spoken for. We had reported before on the premiums of up to $20,000 being stacked on top of the $40,095 MSRP*.

However, now it is all about getting that first look of the production version of the Dodge Challenger SRT8 and its 6.1 liter Hemi engine. All of the 6,400 models for this year will be the 425-hp, 420-torque SRT8 package with more variants to follow in the next year. For 2009 there is a smaller 5.7 liter V8 model, the R/T, a V6 version and potentially a convertible model for the Challenger on down the road. As production hits full-steam Dodge expects to sell between 20,000 and 30,000 Challengers a year.
