Drift Battle

Take two long swing-arm sport bikes, add a couple of really good riders and a Ford Mustang drift car painted up in Police livery and you’ve just developed the recipe for one helluva short moto-movie. The following film was produced by Icon Motorsports and features riders Nick Brocha and Ernie Vigil on a wicked pair of Triumph Speed Triples. Modified to roll sideways at full tilt, these two bikes are sure to be the catalyst as the sport of drifting heads from 4-wheels to two. That is of course unless they get caught by officer Dan Brockett in his 550 horsepower Ford Mustang Cobra. Click through for the video and enjoy.

Polish Hoonigans

I suppose as car enthusiasts we’ll always be intrigued by a good video as long as it incorporates all the right elements. Obviously burnouts, power-slides, dirt, jumps and obstacle courses are all things that are a must in this day and age, but what happens when you want to go above and beyond… what then? Well if you’re a couple of Polish hoonigans then you include one very special piece of equipment… a tank, a big f*ckin’ tank.

Ken Block’s Gymkhana World Tour Highlights

Ken Block World Tour

Ken Block just recently finished up his gymkhana world tour and with it comes not only some great highlights, but loads and loads of tire smoking action. Block started his tour in Vienna, Austria, then hit-up good ole’ Los Angeles California, with his final stop happening in Melbourne Australia. Keep in mind that this tour contained not only the antics of Mr. Block, but also some of the best freestyle motorcyclists in the world. Adam Jones, Alastair Sayer, Martin Shenck and Blake “Bilko” Williams were all on hand to partake in the festivities. That meant that not only were fans treated to some of the best four-wheeled hooning around, but they also got a first-hand look at what it’s like to fly ass-over-tea-kettle on a big-bore motor-bike. There’s no doubt that Block’s tour was a phenomenal success, however now the big question is, when is the next Gymkhana video coming out?

Super Speeders 6 – “Flat Out” Trailer

Super Speeders 6

It’s hard to believe I know, but I’ve been known to fracture an occasional traffic law from time to time. I’m not talking of course about anything serious mind you, but sometimes the 55 mph limit just doesn’t work for me. Yes I know there’s a time and a place for hoonigan antics, but sometimes, just sometimes, one has to break their own rules. Rob Ferretti is the creator of “Super Speeders“, a video series that does everything in cars that 99.9% of the population would probably do if they could get away with it. “Flat Out” is their newest trailer for “Super Speeders 6“, and when I tell you it looks like a genuine automotive thrill ride, I’m not lying. The Greatest Chase Scene In The History Of Film

Posted in Bizarre, Car Chase, FAIL / Funny, Funny Videos, Videos by Kurt Ernst | November 12th, 2011 | 7 Responses |

Quick: what’s the best chase scene ever shot? Is it from Bullitt? The French Connection? Ronin, perhaps?

Not even close: the best chase scene ever filmed comes from Bollywood, not Hollywood. When to comes to actions films, those made in India simply kick more ass than those filmed here. Their cars, for example, explode before impact, launching skyward in cheese-o-riffic fireballs. And since what goes up must come down, our hero has to dodge flaming wreckage from the sky, as well as carnage on the ground. Read More…

David Coulthard Escapes Wranglers In The Red Bull F1 Car

Then, Coulthard drives the car to the Texas state Capitol in Austin, where he proceeds to show Austin what the air in Los Angeles looks like. Finally he’s off to hoon in the dirt (again) at the under-completion Circuit of the Americas racetrack. While most of it looks like fun, I can’t imaging driving an F1 car over a cattle guard, or down unpaved farm roads on slick tires (at least mount up some intermediates). None of it seems to phase Coulthard, the former F1 star who now does the exhibition driving for the Red Bull Renault F1 team (when he isn’t consulting with AMG, anyway). Read More…

Stolen Porsche Boxster Chase Down Under

Porsche Car Chase

I find it amazing that in this day and age car chases still exist. I mean why do criminals still think they can get away? Between police radios, pedestrian cell phones, other drivers and helicopters it’s actually almost impossible to do anything wrong which is why I was so surprised that this guy actually had this stolen Porsche in his possession for 3 weeks before getting caught. What’s even more impressive than that though is just how durable this Boxster actually was. I mean seriously – this little drop top took one hit after another and just kept on going which is pretty impressive if you ask me. So let this video be a lesson for all those would-be car thieves out there; if you are going to steal a car, make sure you do it right and steal a Porsche.

Driver: San Francisco – Part II

Driver

We recently brought you a little snippet about Ubisoft Reflections Studios new high octane thrill ride, “Driver: San Francisco”, that’s due out in September. The games seeks to offer not only cutting edge graphics and a stellar physics engine, but the option of shifting from one car to another at a moments notice to foster further game play. What caught my eye though were the amazing power-slides and the oodles and oodles of tire smoke that one is able to create at a moments notice. This my friends is simply bad-ass. Combine that with the fact that one can get a 1969 Dodge Charger, a late 80′s IROC Camaro and a 1977 Trans Am and well, I’m sold before this sucker even hits the shelves. If Only Moses Had a Russian Bus

Russian Bus Attacks Flood

Come hell or high water this bus looked to be on a mission to make it to its next stop. Thankfully though hell wasn’t on the menu and the bus made it through the flooded section of highway it decided to traverse. However, this was not before it submerged some poor woman and her car as its wake engulfed them as they went by. I applaud the bus driver for having the stones to attempt a stunt like this, but I can’t help but feel bad for this woman as her dry cleaning and repair bills are going to be off the charts.

Game Watch: Driver San Francisco

Driver: San Francisco

Back in 1999 a game came out for the original Sony Playstation called “Driver” by Reflection Studios. It took place in San Francisco and put you behind the wheel of a high horsepower muscle car with your job being to out run the police at every turn. Back then the graphics were a bit crude, but the physics engine used was actually pretty damn good. Fast forward now 12 years and 3 generations of console games later and there is a new version of the game called “Driver San Francisco” that’s due out September 1st 2011. The game includes cars that run from a 1977 Pontiac Trans Am to a 2010 McLaren MP4-12C and promises to be one of the highlights of the 2011 gaming year. If Ubisoft Reflections Studios can capture the original essence of the game, while at the same time upping the ante’, well then, we’re going to have one helluva game on our hands come September.
