Between 2001 and 2002 BMW produced a series of short films to be aired only on the internet. They featured some of the film industries greatest directors and some of its best talent. “STAR” showcases the then new, BMW E39 M5 in what is perhaps its best starring role to date. This is a car that some consider to be the last true M5. Equipped with a naturally aspirated V8 that pumped out 400 hp through a 6-speed manual transmission, the E39 M5 was not only one of the best muscle-sedans ever produced, but a true drivers car. Clive Owen and Madonna star in the video as well, but can’t hold a candle to what may be one of the best cars BMW ever produced.

I think we’ve just found the man (and the video) that dethrones Ken Block. This is B.J. Baldwin, trophy truck pilot and stuntman extraordinaire. His vehicle of choice, the Monster Energy 850-horsepower trophy truck that comes equipped with 34-inches of suspension travel and a 150 mph top end. Combine that with a hot chick driving a Nissan GT-R, a helicopter and a few slow-motion cameras and you’ve just developed the recipe for internet video stardom!

Like Harley-Davidson motorcycles, today’s modern muscle cars can be customized to reflect the owners personality. Paint, wheels, interior and engine modifications can be addressed and there is no shortage of parts from the aftermarket. The following Dodge Challenger comes to us from the guys over at Jonsibal Design Works, and is nothing short of sinister. Flat bronze wheels set perfectly in the fender wells give the car and evil stance, and that matte-black paint finishes off a stunning machine. This particular design may not be for everyone, but as far as we’re concerned, it looks outstanding!

It’s a crying shame that the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG is one of the most under utilized vehicles sold here in the United States. Generally driven by people of wealth, this is one of those rare beasts that needed an after market builder to get involved before it could actually be taken seriously. Power comes by way of a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 that churns out 544 hp and 560 lb.ft. of torque allowing it to cruise at 100 mph while rolling on 37-inch tires. It also has seating for 8 passengers, full-on off-road capabilities and a presence that is not for the faint of heart. The price? A mere $244,000.00 U.S. or 7.5 million rubles. Growing up in New York State meant that we were privy to wonderful hot summers and terrible, snow-covered winters. However as a teenager with a fun, rear-wheel drive car at my disposal, those winters were the stuff that drifting dreams were made of. Get a little packed snow, drop my then 1984 300ZX in 2nd gear and PRESTO! Fun for hours.
