Grass Kart Racing

When I was a kid my father built me a go-kart out of wood, a few wheels from the hardware store and a piece of rope. It was a blast of a ride and as a young kid, the fastest thing I’d ever been on. It seems that fznowadays though home built rigs like that are few and far between, which is why I got so excited to see the following video. Aeromobil Roadable

I was once asked to be on a panel of automotive journalist to discuss the idea of flying cars becoming a reality. My answer was “Yes”, they will be a reality, but it will be a nightmare if people actually start to use them. Just think about rush hour in your favorite city with 20,000 people trying to “fly” home. It would be a chaotic nightmare. That however hasn’t stopped inventors from trying to build them. Case-in-point, the Aeromobil Roadable Aircraft 2.5. A flying car that may just be a glimpse into the future.

Today’s story is about a true barn find. The car in question is a 1966 Porsche 912, which was last registered 23 years ago. We discovered the car thanks to our friend Roger Garbow, from Full Throttle Marketing. He had received a call about the car’s discovery and immediately forwarded the info to us, here at Drive Clean. Address in hand, we turned our crews around and headed-off to a northern region of Connecticut where we unearthed and restored this classic car. Watch as we assess our find, remove years of accumulated filth and grime, and initiate the paint correction phase on this 912′s “Irish Green” shell. – LARRY KOSILLA / FOUNDER: AMMONYC.com

It’s got one electric drive wheel under the steering column, a drift handle and a price tag that’s around $400.00. Is it expensive? Yes. However if you have dreams of your toddler becoming the next Ken Block or Tanner Foust, then spending 4 bills on the Crazy Cart may not be such a bad idea.
