It’s hokey, ridiculous and so far fetched it isn’t even funny. However Hot Wheels is back, and with their reemergence they bring one of the most entertaining little automotive movies of recent times. Four teams; Red, Yellow, Green & Blue compete for the title of “World’s Best Driver”. Some will be eliminated, others will succeed. Zachary Quinto and Leonard Nimoy. Two Spocks of different eras brought together for a battle of speed and wits in Audi’s new commercial for the 420 horsepower S7 sedan . Quinto, our new Spock, returns for his second film in the upcoming “Star Trek: Into Darkness”, while Nimoy is a veteran of seven motion pictures and will forever be our #1 Spock. And while Quinto adds a wonderfully youthful flair to the character, let’s just say that there’s no replacement for tried and true experience.

Just drive your monster truck over as much stuff as you can in the allotted time. Is it the guns, hookers, drugs or auto theft that makes the Grand Theft Auto series so enticing? GTA has been around since 1997, and over the last 16 years has developed into the most popular franchise in video game history. The newest version, simply titled Grand Theft Auto V is due out this September and features three main characters, Michael, Franklin and Trevor. GTA V is the most anticipated release on console gaming history for the simple fact that the series has been not only amazingly produced, but offers a level of gaming that has yet to be matched by any other game from any other developer. They just keep getting better and better don’t they. This is the new trailer for Codemaster’s “GRID 2″, a game that is the perfect blend of Forza Motorsport and Gran Turismo. Part arcade game and part simulator, GRID 2 is said to engage the player with a beefed up physics engine, improved graphics and of course, more damage. So, is it any good? Well honestly we don’t know yet. However if this new trailer is any indication of what’s to come, then we can’t wait to get our hands on a copy.

There’s no shortage of racing titles out there in the world of console gaming. Names like Gran Turismo, GRID and Forza Motorsport obviously come to mind. However even with those stellar titles, companies like Slightly Mad Studios have decided there is still room for one more. PROJECT CARS is their newest entrant in this genre and by the looks of it, they’re going in with a take-no-prisoners attitude. According to the press release, PROJECT CARS lets gamers go behind the wheel of the fastest, most exhilarating cars of all time on the world’s most iconic tracks. Video games are one of the best places to showcase cars, both new and old. So when this ad for “Call of Duty: Black Ops II” starring Peter Stormare came out, we just had to post it. Now normally this wouldn’t qualify on an automotive site, however when you enter a 1970 Dodge Challenger and AC/DC’s thumping “Back in Black” into the mix, it then becomes a no-brainier.

One of the best parts of the Forza Motor Sport franchise for XBOX 360 are the vast amounts of downloadable content you can get from XBOX Live. From new tracks and car packs to creating your own race series, Forza is the go-to racing game for enthusiasts all over the world. Forza Horizon, the newest game in the franchise is no exception and has just made an announcement of a new car pack that will be available in January of 2013. Included in the download are the following vehicles:

It’s the greatest video game franchise of all time. It’s got hookers, drugs, violence, cars, planes and a shitload of guns. It’s Grand Theft Auto and its 5th installment is due out early this spring. This is by far the most eagerly anticipated video game in years and by the looks of the new trailer we can see why. The game will feature massive open world environments, some of the best graphics ever, and game play that will knock your socks off. If you’ve ever played Turn 10′s Forza Motorsports before then you know that the worst part of the game is the fact that there is no open world playability. Sure you can race, receive damage and drift, but this is 2012 which means that gamers want access to everything. Thankfully the boys at Turn 10 have heard our prayers and answered with Forza Horizon, the next installment of the franchise that not only dethroned Gran Turismo, but rewrote the book on console racers.
