2012 Dodge Charger SRT8: RideLust Review
We recently reported about Chevrolet’s new King Kong Camaro, the ZL1. It’s the fire breathing beast that comes with a slightly de-tuned version of the Cadillac CTS-V‘s supercharged 6.2 liter LSA V8. It’s rated at 550hp / 550 lb-ft of torque and is poised to make the Camaro one bad Mutha’ Chucker. Now while this is all well and good, there is still one question that’s lingering on everyone’s mind; what the hell happened to the Camaro Z/28 that we were promised? Well actually… nothing, and according to Jalopnik, GM wants your opinion as to exactly what it should be. Hmph – now there’s a novel idea! A car company that actually asks for the opinion of the consumer. The Z/28 was always designated as the Camaro SS’s lighter, better handling younger brother and as such that’s basically what we want. How’s this; give us a stripped down Camaro with the Corvette Z06′s 505 hp LS7 mill and brakes, then make it a proper 6-speed, equip it with the stellar Recaro seats from the CTS-V and then drop in a cross-bar so we can strap some harnesses to it, and call it a day. Do that and I have a feeling you’ll have every Camaro person out there jumping for joy. Plus it will be a nice counterpoint to Ford’s track minded Boss 302 Mustang.

Im a ford guy but i like how you think!
The Z28 was always just the answer to the mustang gt…. Since when was it the better handling, lighter version of the ss?
