In honor of Mercedes-Benz Gelandewagen’s 30th birthday, Merc and tuning firms alike are putting their tuning skills to the test by releasing a series of special edition G-Wagens. Although Mercedes’ own EDITION30 and EDITION30.PUR are undeniably bad ass, the Brabus G V12 S Biturbo is by far the meanest of the pack. Upgrading the G-Wagen’s already impressive specs to downright intimidating levels, Brabus swapped the G-Wagen’s OEM engine out for a revised version of the Mercedes S 600 V12 Biturbo. Boosting the G-Wagen’s output to white-knuckle levels, the Brabus G’s turbocharged dodeca-banger churns out a whopping 700 hp at 5,100 rpm and 973 lb-ft of torque at 2,100 rpm. Amazingly agile for such a monstrous rig, Brabus claims the G V12 is capable of sprinting from 0-62 mph in a mere 4.3 seconds before maxing out at 150 mph.
Satisfied with the imprint left under the hood, Brabus then sought to mark their interior territory. Stainless steel scuff plates come stamped with the Brabus logo illuminated by LED lights, and the sumptuous Brabus-exclusive leather upholstery features the name of its creator branded into the headrests. Should the customer so request, Brabus also offers an extensive media upgrade, including a DVD changer, DVBT TV tuner, game console, 8″ LCD screens in the back of the front headrests, and rear-mounted infrared headphones. So how much damage will the Brabus beast do to your wallet? Approximately $483,000 worth – which means you’ll have to sell a lot of dimebags, playa.
