The only downside about the United States is that we don’t get all the same go fast goodies that the Europeans do. For the most part this is fine until it comes to something that I want, something like this Bowler EXR Nemesis for example. Bowler is a UK based company that tunes and modifies all things Land Rover. Over here in the U.S. modified Land Rovers are all but non-existent aside from the occasional 26-inch wheel bling machines that roll around NY and LA. In the UK though Bowler has carved out quite a little niche for itself by transforming these standard off-roaders into fire breathing powerhouses capable of going just about anywhere.
Bowlers new creation, the EXR Nemesis is a truck that would make even Ford’s new Raptor pick-up look tame. Based on what looks to be a Land Rover Freelander 2, the Nemsis can be had with up to 600 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque from a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 that will rocket the off-roader to 60 mph in just under 5 seconds. It also sports a space-frame chassis, 6-speed paddle shifted gearbox and full composite body. Even though the truck is still primarily a full-blown race truck, it still comes equipped with power windows and air conditioning for when it gets hot or cold in the desert. Since we know that we’ll never have a chance to experience this sucker here in the United States, the only thing we can do is live vicariously through the Bowler videos we find on Youtube.com.
