I’ve been trying to bring back the fedora look for years, until the hipster culture co-opted it. Now I have a closet of class Borsalino hats that I can’t wear outside unless I want to be hounded by zombie hipsters in ironic t-shirts asking me which thrift store I bought the hat from.
Anyway, Borsalino. In addition to the high end hats they’re known for, they make helmets now too. I guess they’re trying to get into the same “style helmet” niche that Les Ateliers Ruby caters to. Expensive leather, high end materials, and the throwback classy look. Read on for some pictures:
Borsalino’s Line of Helmets
Panama Blu Carezza
Black – Gold
Just like the Ruby Pavilion helmet – made from unicorn skin and dragon scales or whatever the hell they put into those things to make them cost $800 dollars – I’m definitely a fan of the aesthetics of these Borsalino helmets. The thing is, I’d probably never wear one, since they don’t have a full face version. And I like my chin.
For sure, they look nice, and they’re undoubtedly well made, but really, I like my chin. And most bikers know that your chin is the most likely spot to get crizzacked in an izzaccidizzent.
So, Borsalino and Ruby… please make some full face helmets.
