Rally is my favorite motorsport and I try and keep up with it via fresh footage from youtube fans (the crazy people on the corners of the road). It’s a shame that rally isn’t popular in America. There’s so much open land here, but they really only do rally in the west side of the US.
Oh and Sebastian Loeb is my hero.
while i do think that there are alot of places in america that would be suited for a rally i think the largest problems would be to find good routes that arent to wide and that have enough tight bends as you need that sorta thing to keep the speed down if i remember correctly they had that problem in the australian rally in the 90′s when the cars where bouncing of the revlimmiter all through some stages which is both dangerous for the driver and isnt as intresting to look at. for me the best stages are in the middle of nowhere whith a stage that is so curvy you run the risk of running into your own rearend whith great dips and crests. and atleast one long straight withz where you can hear the engine bounce of the revlimmiter when it goes over a crest. and ofcourse the track should either be mud, snow/ice or gravel.
and while i do thing loeb is the best rally driver of our time he still couldnt hold a candle to a glory days stig blomqvist or colin mcrae before he left us
by the way Rally the only motorsport where the fans are crazier than the drivers
