Well, put Estell. I too would love to see such as car as the Bentley three door "brake" put into production, and I just might decide to add one to my own garage. Not to brag, but as one who does have an extensive ride collection of my own, I think kept to the 200-600 manufacturing range, that VW would see that their Bentley dealers would move these cars like hotcakes, even at just north of $225k or so.

Not so much about robbing the old piggy bank (albeit, a few hundred thousand short for this one) but about how the big boys at VW should seriousely take a look at making something similar to this in the upcoming Bentley lineup.

I couldn't agree with you more and I absolutely think there is a place for this automobile... or at least something similar.

so why not be brave
... are there any of those left in the automobile industry?

As a fan of all automobilia, and a magazine publisher and frequent automobile writer who has the benefit of seeing and driving quite a few interesting rides, I must admit that Touring Superleggera's rendition of Bentley's already bad ass car is one that really got me thinking. Not so much about robbing the old piggy bank (albeit, a few hundred thousand short for this one) but about how the big boys at VW should seriousely take a look at making something similar to this in the upcoming Bentley lineup.

We all know that the old 'Shooting Brake' was once a popular stable of true British motoring and everyone from Aston to Bentely to MG put a few of them together and on the road two or three decades ago, so why not be brave -uh, I mean "forward thinking"- and make this great looking and performing ride more than just a limited edition 25 car exercise. After all, even in "real" Bentley production numbers, you wouldn't likely run into another one at the local strip mall.
