Just six days after endoing his monster truck, Bad Habit, Joey Sylvester set the record for the world’s longest monster truck jump last Sunday. Sylvester was able to clear 208 feet after changing the launch angle on his approach ramp. Since Dirtvision wants to sell you the pay-per-view footage of the event, the video doesn’t show you the actual jump. You see Sylvester launch his truck, followed by the air horns of win (as opposed to the screams of lose).
The original video from his practice jump is below, and it’s amazing that Sylvester walked away without injury. Anytime you endo a truck the size of Bad Habit, after a jump that put you some 60 feet in the air, bad things happen. My hat is off to Sylvester and his team for even getting the Bad Habit ready to run in less than a week.
