Universal Pictures is apparently working on a biography of F1 great Ayrton Senna. The film, titled “Senna”, is due for release late in 2010, although there are no guarantees that it will be released in the U.S. market. In case you’re not current on your F1 history, or in case you don’t follow motorsports, Ayrton Senna da Silva was perhaps the best racing driver of all time. He had an ungodly ability to drive a race car fast in any conditions, and could overcome a car’s weaknesses with superhuman skill. Senna was killed in an accident during the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix.
If any RideLust fans read Kanji, I’d love a translation of the text in the movie trailer. If nothing else, it might tell us when the film will be released in the Japanese market, which should tell us when to start hunting for the stream. If, of course we did such illegal things. Which we absolutely don’t.
Awesome. I think a documentary style format is far more suitable for the legend of Senna, than the “Antonio Banderas” rumor that has been circulating the interwebs for years. Knowing Hollywood, I’m amazed they resisted the temptation to have Senna played by Will Smith and Keanu Reeves as Alain Prost.
…and Glenn Close as Bernie Ecclestone…
I figured Bernie would be played by Gollum from “Lord of the Rings.” Just uglier….and more annoying….
